Jiangxi Yudu - Central Red Army Long March Departure Monument
On the eve of July 1st, teachers and students of Beijing No. 12 Middle School came to Yudu, Jiangxi, the starting point of the Long March of the Central Red Army, to carry out study activities and sang "My Motherland and I" in front of the Central Red Army Long March Monument.
Standing on the bank of the first crossing of the Long March in Yudu County, Jiangxi Province, the Central Red Army Long March Departure Monument is magnificent and magnificent. The sail-shaped monument implies setting sail. The more than 300-word inscription tells the world the beginning of that feat, highlighting the purpose of not forgetting the original intention and keeping the mission in mind. On the evening of October 18, 1934, the Central Revolutionary Military Commission, the Central Organs, the Red Army Headquarters, and central leaders such as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Zhu De took the first step of the Long March at the Yudu East Gate Ferry. Yudu was officially designated as the assembly and departure point for the Central Red Army's Long March. After the Central Red Army set out from Yudu, it overcame numerous difficulties and dangers, made great sacrifices, and successfully completed the Long March that went down in history.
Red Army Headquarters at Songmaoling Campaign in Changting, Fujian
In Changting, Fujian, the trenches covered with weeds are the marks left by the Red Army, and the Red Army Bridge, mottled with years, is the place where the soldiers set out for the expedition. On September 30, 1934, the Ninth Corps of the Central Red Army assembled here and set out on the Long March. Before that, the Red Army launched a bloody battle to defend the Central Soviet Area at Songmaoling in front of Zhongfu Village. 26,000 people from western Fujian participated in the Long March, but only more than 2,000 people arrived in northern Shaanxi. "I have returned to Yan'an in my dreams many times, with my arms around the Pagoda Mountain." Yan'an is the holy land of the Chinese revolution. From 1935 to 1948, this red land became the seat of the CPC Central Committee. During these turbulent years, the CPC witnessed the growth of the CPC from small to large, from weak to strong, leading the Chinese revolution from low tide to high tide, from victory to new victory, and nurturing the Yan'an spirit with the main contents of firm and correct political direction, the ideological line of emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts, the fundamental purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly, and the entrepreneurial spirit of self-reliance and hard work. The Yan'an spirit has nurtured generations of Chinese Communists and is a precious spiritual wealth of our Party.
Recently, red tourism in Yan'an, Shaanxi has continued to heat up, with tourists from all over the country visiting Pagoda Mountain, Yangjialing Revolutionary Site, Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall and other places to learn about the revolutionary history and appreciate the Yan'an spirit.
In May 1948, Comrade Mao Zedong led the CPC Central Committee and the Chinese People's Liberation Army to move to Xibaipo, making this ordinary mountain village "the last rural command post for the liberation of all of China" and the command center for the Chinese Communist Party to lead the people of the country and the People's Liberation Army to fight the strategic decisive battle with the Kuomintang and create a new China. In this magnificent revolutionary practice, the Xibaipo spirit with "two musts" as the core was nurtured and formed, the public servant spirit for the people and relying on the people, the enterprising spirit of daring to fight and dare to win, the democratic spirit of political consultation, unity and cooperation, the spirit of setting rules and strict disciplines, centralized and unified, and the spirit of catching up with the exam with modesty, prudence and hard work.
On the eve of July 1st, party members reviewed their party oath in front of the venue of the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee.
