On June 28, Anji County, Huzhou City, held a promotion meeting in Shanghai. In recent years, Anji has had many "business cards". Three years ago, Anji showed the county window of Beautiful China in Shanghai; two years ago, the "Two Mountains" Future Science and Technology City made its debut in Shanghai, showing the county's determination to seize the new economic track; last year, new industries and new economic projects such as life health, electronic information, new energy, new retail, and metaverse were signed in batches... At this year's promotion meeting, Anji handed out a "new business card" - this is the new Anji where new economy, new industry, and new youth gather.
Let’s talk about the new economy first. At this year’s promotion conference, 35 projects that “are optimistic” about Anji were signed, of which 8 were new economy headquarters projects.
Angel Industrial Park is a transitional park before the completion of the "Two Mountains" Future Science and Technology City. In one year, it has gathered nearly 20 new economy companies. Although basically each company has a small building, due to the intersection of the industrial ecosystem, everyone is very close and frequent.
In order to seize the new economic track, the county has set up a new economic attraction and promotion service center, and has drawn local streets, state-owned enterprise platforms, the county's "sharp knife team" and full-time professionals in human resources, statistics, taxation, etc. to work in the centralized office. The new investment promotion model of "direct investment by funds" is the attraction of the county's development of new quality productivity, which can match funds and policy support for projects in a short period of time and reduce the cost consumption of the company's listing process.
From January to May 2024, the cumulative revenue of new economy projects exceeded 3 billion yuan, driving the wholesale industry, retail industry, other profitable service industry, and software and information service industry by 5.2, 18.2, 48.4 and 30.9 percentage points respectively.
There is an important reason why the new economy circle of friends has confidence in Anji. That is, in addition to the traditional advantageous industries of chairs, bamboo, tea and tourism, Anji’s newly cultivated new industries of life health and electronic information have performed well.
Driving in the North Zhejiang Life and Health Industrial Park in Anji Economic Development Zone, there are 12 projects under construction. Anji has also developed many new formats in recent years. The waterfall coffee, which opened in June last year, attracts more than 1,000 tourists every day on average, and the "Deep Blue Project" can sell more than 8,000 cups of coffee a day. Consumers are willing to pay for the atmosphere created by this scene, and the cooperation between the village collective and the new format project has also benefited both parties.
Of course, the emergence of new business models benefits from the influx of new young people.
Before this year's May 4th Youth Day, Xia Wan's team, a master's degree student in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, and young people who returned from studying abroad at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing Forestry University, Yunnan Art Institute and London Academy of Art came to Yu Village and stayed in the village for half a month. They used the discarded materials from the Yu Village Dragon Year Lantern Festival to create six large-scale outdoor art works with a very high degree of completion.
In July 2022, Yu Village launched the "Global Partner Program". In more than a year, 100,000 square meters of idle resources have been revitalized and more than 50 partner projects have been put into operation. Among them is the Digital Nomad Commune located in the "Qinglaiji" rural youth talent community, which is also the second digital nomad commune in Anji. Since last year, Anji has also launched the recruitment of cloud villagers. More than 30,000 young people have become "cloud villagers" with "a little field" and "a little sweetness" in Anji, breaking through geographical restrictions and integrating urban and rural resources.
There are jobs for those who come to Anji, employment assistance, work companions, special vehicles for talents, and shared housing. Anji, which has made attracting 100,000 young college students the county's first development strategic goal, is committed to making friends with young people, providing various "entrances" for returning to their hometowns, and providing real guarantees for young people's needs.
