Friends are getting closer and closer! ", From the signed article of President Xi Jinping to see the diplomacy of major powers | "Relatives are getting closer and closer Xi Jinping | Xi | signed article
The September 13, 2022 issue of Kazakhstan Pravda is still treasured by Savryubek Kaperabekov.
On September 13, 2022, President Xi Jinping published a signed article entitled "Promoting Greater Development of China-Kazakhstan Relations in the Journey of Inheritance and Future" in the Kazakhstan Pravda.
This issue of the newspaper published a signed article written by Chinese President Xi Jinping on the eve of his visit to Kazakhstan, "Promoting Greater Development of China-Kazakhstan Relations in the Future". The article states: "Kazakhstan ophthalmologist Kaperabekov has been treating nearly 200,000 Chinese patients with eye diseases at Daqing Eye Hospital in Heilongjiang, China, for 24 years."
"I didn't expect that the Chinese leader knew me!" Kapelabekov's eyes filled with tears. "Relatives become closer and closer, friends become closer and closer! The friendship between Kazakhstan and China will last forever!"
"Friendship lasts forever" is a very appropriate way to describe the relationship between China and Kazakhstan. China and Kazakhstan are connected by mountains and rivers and are closely related, with a history of friendly exchanges going back thousands of years.
"Chinese Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang, Ming Dynasty diplomat Chen Cheng and others have visited Kazakhstan. 'Eastern Aristotle' Ali Farabi, 'Poet Saint' Abai Kunanbayev and other Kazakh historical and cultural celebrities are also well known in China. Their stories are still widely circulated among the people of the two countries." Zhanat Nazarov, a reader of Kazakhstan Pravda, who is over 70 years old, read this passage in the signed article and gave a thumbs up: "President Xi Jinping knows the history of friendly exchanges between Kazakhstan and China like the back of his hand. It is admirable!"
During the Han Dynasty in China, Zhang Qian made two diplomatic missions to Central Asia and opened up a Silk Road that spanned the East and West and connected Europe and Asia. Kazakhstan is a must-go place on the ancient Silk Road.
In September 2013, President Xi Jinping proposed the major initiative of jointly building the “Silk Road Economic Belt” in Kazakhstan, thus marking the beginning of the “Belt and Road” cooperation.
The Belt and Road Initiative has opened a new door for Kazakhstan, a landlocked country, to integrate into the world. In 2017, in a signed article published by the Kazakh media titled "Giving Wings to the Dream of China-Kazakhstan Relations", President Xi Jinping mentioned a detail: "For the first time, Kazakh wheat has been exported to Southeast Asia via China". Five years later, in that signed article in 2022, President Xi Jinping brought good news again: "The China-Kazakhstan Lianyungang Logistics Cooperation Base provides an outlet for Kazakhstan products to set sail from the Pacific Ocean."
Locals who are "setting sail" at their doorsteps sighed: "Although we are not adjacent to the sea, having a neighbor like China is worth an ocean."
The "ocean" of cooperation between China and Kazakhstan is infinitely broad. In recent years, China has been firmly in the position of Kazakhstan's most important trading partner and investment partner. The 100 MW wind power in Zhanatas, the JAC Motors production line, the modernization of the Chimkent refinery... one key project after another has attracted attention. In 2023, the bilateral trade volume between China and Kazakhstan hit a new record of US$41 billion, an increase of more than 30% year-on-year. The two countries are also working closely together in defending common security and strengthening international cooperation, which will truly benefit the people of the two countries.

The smooth flow of economy and trade promotes the connection between people. In Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, there is a street named after the Chinese musician Xian Xinghai - Xian Xinghai Street. Not far away, there is another street named after the Kazakh musician Bakhdejan Baikadamov. Walking on these two streets reminds people of a good story mentioned by President Xi Jinping in "Promoting Greater Development of China-Kazakhstan Relations in the Past and Future".
It was 1942, when Xian Xinghai came to Almaty. With no relatives, poverty and illness, Baikadamov provided him with a warm home. The two musicians wrote a song of friendship together.
Today, the people of China and Kazakhstan are playing a richer melody: more and more young people from Kazakhstan are going to China to study and do business. Kazakhstan has built five Confucius Institutes, and more than 3,000 people complete Chinese language training every year...
President Xi Jinping has visited Kazakhstan four times since 2013. Each visit left a deep impression on him. He mentioned twice in his signed article that he was "full of expectations" to visit this beautiful land.
The people of Kazakhstan are also eagerly looking forward to President Xi Jinping's visit again to usher in a new "golden era" in bilateral relations.
