Promoting the healthy growth of children and adolescents through sports charity activities, scientific fitness experience camp enters Shanghai Children's Welfare Institute
On June 28, the first charity service activity of the 2024 Scientific Fitness Experience Camp, co-organized by Shanghai Sports Development Service Center and Shanghai Children's Welfare Institute, was held at Shanghai Children's Welfare Institute.
Child welfare is a noble cause. Every child is the flower of the motherland and the treasure of the social family. Sports are an important form of self-improvement and self-development for human beings. Scientific and reasonable physical exercise can enable children to develop comprehensively in many aspects such as morality, intelligence, physical fitness and aesthetics.
As an excellent party-building brand activity of the Municipal Sports Bureau system, the Scientific Fitness Experience Camp has always been committed to spreading the spirit of sports, exporting professional sports skills, and transforming sports achievements. Since its establishment in 2016, the Scientific Fitness Experience Camp has been held for nine consecutive sessions, benefiting more than 10,000 citizens. The activity adheres to the public welfare and professionalism, and through a customized service model, it has brought scientific fitness guidance to Shanghai communities, villages, schools, and troops, making positive contributions to building a healthy Shanghai.

This year, we visited the Shanghai Children's Welfare Institute to show our concern for the growth of young children. We not only tailored children's physical fitness and fun sports guidance for the children, but also Liu Lihao, the former Shanghai women's football defender, brought a unique KT football experience to the children in the welfare institute, guiding them to exercise scientifically in easy-to-understand language. Yan Sen, the Olympic champion of table tennis, who made his final appearance, took his own project as the starting point, and "competed" with the children face to face, telling inspirational stories, imparting sports skills, and passing on the spirit of sports.
From fun games such as traffic lights, flying wings, and hot balls, to the keynote speech "Setbacks and Struggle - The Road to Becoming an Olympic Champion", the one-day event, with the help of the "Scientific Fitness Experience Camp", allowed children to develop exercise habits while enjoying the fun of sports, improve their physical fitness, promote the deep integration of national fitness and national health, and help build Shanghai into a people's city.
At the opening ceremony, the Party Committee of Shanghai Children's Welfare Institute and the Party Branch of Shanghai Sports Development Service Center signed a co-construction agreement. In the future, they will work together to promote the healthy growth of children through resource complementarity, work linkage, and sports charity activities.
On the same day, sports industry charity companies also donated sportswear and equipment to the Municipal Children's Welfare Institute. Yan Sen, as a representative of retired Olympic champions, presented the children with the 2024 Paris Olympic Games mascot Friger doll, using the Olympic spirit of "faster, higher, stronger - more united" to encourage them to overcome difficulties, be positive and grow up healthily. With the "July 1" Party Founding Day approaching, this warm gift and this special event will also deeply instill the love for the Party and the country in the hearts of the children.
The event is closely linked to the development theme of the new era, and works with outstanding retired athletes, highly skilled sports talents and young children to sing the main theme of the new development concept. It uses the talent engine to drive the transformation of sports achievements into public services, uses scientific fitness guidance services to care for the physical and mental growth of young children, and welcomes the 103rd birthday of the Communist Party of China with practical actions.
