The US military has been moved to Israel again..., Gaza's temporary port is in turmoil | Central Command | Migration
Sabrina Singer, deputy press secretary of the U.S. Department of Defense, said at a press conference on the 28th local time that considering the sea conditions this weekend, the U.S. Central Command has moved the temporary dock built by the United States on the coast of the Gaza Strip in Palestine to Ashdod, Israel.
Singh did not give a direct answer to questions about whether the United States would reinstall the dock at the press conference on the 28th. Singh said that the United States would notify when it decided to reinstall the dock. The United States is continuing to monitor environmental and weather factors and cannot give an exact date for reinstalling the dock.
Earlier on the 14th, the US Central Command said that the temporary dock would be temporarily moved to Ashdod, Israel, to protect it from severe weather. The temporary dock was damaged by severe weather and huge waves a few weeks ago. After two weeks of reconstruction, it was reconnected to the coast of the Gaza Strip on June 7.
Hamas previously said that the temporary terminal did not ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza
The Hamas media office issued a statement on the 10th of this month, saying that the temporary terminal built by the United States has not "made any significant contribution" to alleviating the local humanitarian crisis since its opening, and only "a very limited amount" of goods have entered the Gaza Strip through the terminal. The statement urged the United States to put pressure on Israel to open the land crossing point to ensure that the large amount of aid materials piled up on the Egyptian side can enter the Gaza Strip.
