Shanghai residents can now become "villagers" in Yu Village, Zhejiang
Recently, Shanghai residents can go to Yu Village in Zhejiang to be "villagers". However, they are not real villagers, but "cloud villagers".
"Yucun Cloud Villagers" is an urban-rural breaking circle plan initiated by Yucun, Anji, Zhejiang. Through five major sections of cloud adoption, cloud travel, cloud co-creation, cloud festivals, and cloud social networking, it creates a cloud-based interactive experience between urban youth and rural areas, organizes and plans offline integration scenes, and allows more young people to experience the beautiful rural life at close range and participate in rural revitalization.
In early April this year, "Yucun Cloud Villagers" was officially launched. You only need to search for the WeChat applet "Yucun Cloud Villagers" to complete the registration with one click, and receive the "Cloud Villager Electronic ID Card" and a personalized AI image. In the cloud adoption module, "Cloud Villagers" can also obtain a one-meter vegetable garden in the applet, take a cloud photo with the vegetable garden, and show off the farm in the circle of friends. At present, 10,000 urban residents have registered as cloud villagers and successfully adopted vegetable gardens.
Adoption is only one of the links. The "Yu Village Cloud Villagers" also hope to connect urban youth, promote the two-way flow of urban and rural talents and resource elements, and allow more young people to become an important group to promote rural economic development. According to reports, for "Cloud Villagers" who are willing to start a business locally and transform into Xinxiang people, the government will also help match entrepreneurial policies and accurately connect various services. In the process of co-creating Yu Village life, outstanding "Cloud Villagers" can also become "Yu Village Promotion Ambassadors" and "Cloud Village Chiefs", and have the opportunity to become Yu Village Global Partners and receive support from entrepreneurial funds.
The relationship between young people and Anji is more like a two-way rush. In the past two years, the concept of "digital nomads" has been very popular. In Hengshan Village, Xilong Township, Anji County, there is an Anji Digital Nomad Commune, which was converted from an idle factory and became an incubation base for talents and creativity in the rural revitalization of Xilong Township. It combines living, working, leisure, and sharing space, and is full of rural atmosphere. In this once abandoned bamboo and wood processing factory, digital nomads met a group of like-minded friends who love the countryside and do not take success as their only goal. They came from all over the country and gained "freedom" and inspiration in the countryside.
Also in Qinglaiji, Yucun, Anji County, there are more than 2,000 workstations, and the integrated operation mode of "landscape and community symbiosis" is adopted to provide talents with "shared" entrepreneurial office, "community-style" community life, and "one-stop" talent services. So far, the platform has attracted more than 40 partner projects such as Midi Music, Weekend Hotel Yucun Suji, and Yuanli Agriculture, as well as more than 10 new economic projects such as Jingkang Technology, Yunti Technology, and Linhui Bar.
There are many reasons why young people choose Anji, one of the important reasons is that Anji is comfortable and free enough. By making good use of its extremely advantageous natural endowments, Anji's leisure economy has been rising strongly in recent years.
Nowadays, when you open major social networks and booking platforms, you will be greeted by the "Anji Camping Guide" and "Anji Treasure Homestay". Xiaohangkeng, Chunfeng Valley, Bandao, Jiumu Songfeng, Zhuluoji... Every weekend and holiday, tourists from the Yangtze River Delta flock to camping bases in Anji to experience "poetry and distance". In order to make the camping economy go from "popular" to "long-term", Anji implements the "Hundred Villages and Ten Thousand Tents Camping Shared Prosperity Plan", which provides policy support, standard setting, investment promotion, and the establishment of interest links. At present, Anji County has nearly 50 camping sites of various types and more than 8,000 camping sites, and has formed five major categories of "mountain camping", "urban camping", "scenic camping", "village camping" and "homestay camping". The brand of "Yangtze River Delta Camping Paradise" has been further promoted. In 2023, the county's camping sites received a total of 904,500 tourists, with a total revenue of 70.4 million yuan, which increased the collective income of the village by 9.21 million yuan. During this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the 2024 Anji Camping Music Festival was held in Xilong Township, attracting more than 5,000 participants.
In order to further improve the quality of tourism and service level, Anji County launched the "Thousands of Homestays for Shared Prosperity Project", relying on the surrounding mountain and water resources to promote the transformation and upgrading of the county's "farmhouses", creating a number of small but exquisite, small but beautiful rural homestays, while constantly enriching supporting industries such as coffee, camping, river tracing, and research, to establish the Anji rural homestay brand and help the development of the homestay industry in the Yangtze River Delta region. Data shows that in 2023, the county received a total of 18.9168 million rural tourists, with a total rural tourism revenue of 5.675 billion yuan. Among them, homestays received 14.1287 million people, with operating income of 3.758 billion yuan.
