China Eastern Airlines launches new service in the Yangtze River Delta: Tickets can be exchanged for new ones and itineraries can be changed 4 hours before departure
What should you do if your schedule changes suddenly and you have to pay to change or cancel your booked tickets? On June 24, China Eastern Airlines launched a new service that can avoid the above embarrassing situation to a certain extent.
On the same day, China Eastern Airlines announced the launch of the Yangtze River Delta "Regional Pass" service. From that day on, eligible passengers on domestic flights operated by China Eastern Airlines and its subsidiary Shanghai Airlines, if they are flying to all civil aviation airports in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui, or departing from the airports in the above four provinces and cities, can change their departure or destination airports in the above-mentioned region and purchase new tickets due to temporary changes in their itinerary, and after using the new ticket, the old ticket can be fully refunded.
For example, a passenger originally planned to take China Eastern Airlines' "Shanghai Pudong-Beijing Daxing" flight on June 25, but on June 24, due to work changes, he planned to take China Eastern Airlines' "Nanjing Lukou-Beijing Daxing" flight on June 26. At this time, the passenger can buy a new "Nanjing Lukou-Beijing Daxing" ticket on June 26 on June 24 and cancel the original flight reservation. After arriving in Beijing with the new ticket, he can apply for a refund for the original "Shanghai Pudong-Beijing Daxing" ticket on June 25, select the "Regional Pass" option in the refund reason, and indicate the ticket number of the new ticket starting with 781.
It should be noted that, in addition to the fact that one of the departure and destination must be in the Yangtze River Delta, China Eastern Airlines' new service currently only supports domestic flights. Passengers who choose this service and have selected seats online in advance should cancel their original flight reservations within 24 hours after the new ticket is issued and 4 hours before the scheduled departure time of the original flight.
In addition, the tickets purchased twice need to be purchased through the same channel. If the passenger's original ticket was purchased through official channels such as China Eastern Airlines APP, mini-programs, official website, etc., the passenger should purchase a new ticket through the same official channel of China Eastern Airlines, and after the new ticket is used up, a full refund of the original ticket should be processed through the official channel of China Eastern Airlines. If the ticket was purchased through an agent channel, the passenger should purchase a new ticket through the same ticket purchase channel, and after the new ticket is used up, a full refund of the original ticket should be processed through the same ticket purchase channel.
It is reported that China Eastern Airlines currently has 379 domestic routes departing from 24 airports in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui every day, with a corresponding number of flights reaching 616.
