The targets included a building in the Khiyam area and an observation post in the Matmulla area. Israeli forces also shelled areas near Halta and Naqura.

On May 5, local time, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a statement. In the statement, Netanyahu said that Israel cannot accept the demands of the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement to comprehensively end the conflict in the Gaza Strip and reach a ceasefire agreement.
