What did the latest UFO report say?, Serious! Phenomenon of NASA Appointing UFO Research Director | Aviation | Director
In recent years, the official attention of the United States towards unidentified flying objects has been continuously increasing.
NASA announced on September 14th that a new research director has been appointed to study the phenomenon of unidentified aviation, also known as unidentified flying objects. Previously, NASA established an independent research team to investigate UAP.
The report released by the team on the 14th shows that there is no evidence to suggest that these phenomena are related to aliens, but this possibility cannot be ruled out, and further investigation into UAP is urged.
More than 30 pages of report with cautious wording
Last October, NASA's independent research team on unidentified aviation phenomena launched work to assist NASA in researching UAP, screening for unidentified aviation phenomena, and determining how to conduct scientific research on these mysterious phenomena. The team has gathered 16 expert members from multiple fields such as physics and astrobiology.
On September 14th, the team released its first report. But to the disappointment of the outside world, this over 30 page report cautiously states that there is no evidence to suggest that mysterious phenomena discovered in the past came from outside of Earth.
The report states that UAP is "one of the biggest mysteries on Earth.". However, although seemingly incredible phenomena in the sky are not uncommon, the vast majority can be attributed to ordinary aerial objects such as airplanes, drones, or weather balloons. However, there is still a small portion of mysterious phenomena that cannot be explained by known human or natural phenomena.
Therefore, the report indicates that the search for a definitive answer will continue. The research team has provided a roadmap for NASA's research in this field.
At present, NASA has adopted relevant suggestions and appointed a new research director responsible for establishing a sound database to evaluate future unidentified aviation phenomena. According to NASA, Mark McKinnani will serve as the research director, having previously served as a liaison on UAP issues between NASA and the US Department of Defense.
In addition, the report suggests that NASA use existing technologies such as artificial intelligence to mine massive databases and find answers to unknown aviation phenomena.
The report states that NASA has various existing and planned Earth and space observation assets, as well as a large number of historical and current dataset archives. These assets can play a crucial role in determining whether specific environmental factors are related to certain reported UAP behaviors or events.
Official attention continues to rise
For a long time, topics related to UFO or UAP have been talked about, but they are often avoided by mainstream science. However, recently, official attention from various countries towards unidentified flying objects and extraterrestrial life has been continuously increasing.
NASA Director Bill Nielsen bluntly stated at a press conference on September 14th, "This is the first time NASA has taken concrete action to seriously study the UAP phenomenon."
For a long time, NASA has been actively searching for potential signs of life on other planets and satellites inside and outside the solar system. But in the past, the institution did not spend too much time studying the "little green people" at their doorstep.
Nielsen stated that given the vastness of the universe, he believes in the existence of extraterrestrial life, and the search for extraterrestrial life is also NASA's core mission. However, he also pointed out that this does not mean that UAP is evidence of extraterrestrial life, and NASA's goal is to shift the discussion about UAP from sensationalism to science.
In addition to NASA, several official agencies in the United States have been following up on investigations into unidentified flying objects in recent years.
In June 2021, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in the United States released a report stating that from 2004 to 2021, the United States observed 144 instances of unidentified aviation. This report is considered a watershed report. Previously, the US authorities were usually relatively silent on such information.
On May 17, 2022, the Intelligence Committee of the United States House of Representatives also held a hearing on the phenomenon of unidentified aviation, marking the first time in over 50 years.
In July of the same year, the United States Department of Defense also established a Regional Office for Handling Abnormal Situations, responsible for investigating unidentified objects that appeared in the air, underwater, and space.
Besides the United States, official interest in extraterrestrial life and unidentified flying objects is also increasing in other countries.
On September 12th local time, a Mexican journalist who has been studying unidentified flying objects for a long time presented two "mummies" suspected of being "alien bodies" at a hearing in the Mexican parliament, attempting to prove the existence of other life forms outside of Earth. Although the two displayed "bodies" have been widely questioned by the outside world, this hearing reflects Mexico's official attention to related research.
