Some trains on the Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway have been suspended, and tickets have been refunded due to the impact of the Dezhou earthquake in Shandong Province
The reporter learned from the Beijing Railway Bureau of China that due to the impact of the earthquake in Pingyuan County, Dezhou City, Shandong Province, in order to ensure the safety of train operation, some trains on the Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway were delayed and suspended on August 6th.
The suspended trains include G103, G171, G2551, G1083, G45, G1, G173, G201, G105, G2553, G107, G1099, G1061, G887, G109, G177, G31, G3, G203, G197, G111, G179, G2555, G113, G1085, G261, G321, G33, starting from Beijing South Station on August 6th; G441 departure from Tianjin West Station; Train G3681/4 departs from Cangzhou West Station.
After the release of earthquake information, Beijing South Station immediately activated the emergency plan, organized 55 government officials to form an emergency assault team, coordinated more than 100 public security officers to maintain order on site, contacted the Beijing Key Station District Management Committee to dispatch 170 people to enhance the publicity and guidance force inside and outside the station, answered passenger inquiries, and provided love and assistance to key passengers. The station also focuses on strengthening passenger transportation organization, arranging dedicated personnel to monitor and control delayed trains, and ensuring the safety of passengers boarding and alighting. The ticket windows should be fully opened, and the window's functions for changing and refunding tickets should be adjusted reasonably to facilitate passengers to quickly handle such transactions.
The railway department has conducted a comprehensive inspection of key locations such as platforms, waiting rooms, line fences, as well as equipment and facilities such as escalators and display screens along Beijing South Station and the Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway line, including Langfang Station, Tianjin South Station, Cangzhou West Station, and Dezhou East Station, to ensure the elimination of safety hazards. At the same time, timely release of delayed and suspended train information through station display screens, broadcasts, and official Weibo, making it convenient for passengers to check and grasp at any time. Actively coordinate and contact the subway department to broadcast information across the entire area, and provide publicity and guidance for buses and subways.
The railway department reminds passengers that passengers who have purchased tickets for discontinued trains can apply for a full refund within 30 days.
