Can waterfront service stations be more heartwarming, like a river under the night sky

"One River, One River" is a shining business card of Shanghai. On summer nights, many citizens and tourists come to the coast for a walk to cool off. Under the night sky, "one river, one river" is bustling with people and charming lights, but the supporting facilities for citizens and tourists to rest and serve are insufficient: most waterfront service stations built along the river are not open at night, and some that claim to be open at night happen to "get stuck" and close at 20:00 when residents and tourists are more active. Citizens have reported that after nightfall, many shorelines cannot find a place to drink tea, shop, or rest even a few kilometers away.
In recent years, various districts along the "One River, One River" have strengthened the planning and construction of waterfront public spaces, integrated service resources, and created more than 100 waterfront service stations, such as Xuhui "Waterfront Gathering", Pudong "Wangjiang Post", Yangpu "Yangshupu Post", Huangpu "Riverside Party and Mass Service Station", Putuo "Suhe Post", etc., which are highly welcomed by citizens and tourists. With the advancement of "People's City" construction, the night service function of waterfront service stations should also be actively expanded. The Xuhui Binjiang Party and Mass Service Center has also taken the lead in achieving 24-hour opening in the city. Citizens can not only overlook the river scenery, read and rest, but also enjoy three meals a day inside, becoming a popular landmark for more and more people to check in. Similar practices are worth promoting and learning from.
To enable more citizens and tourists to experience warm and convenient services at night, it is recommended to——
One is to do a good job in open planning and respond to needs through hierarchical classification. Sort out the existing waterfront service stations, plan the number and opening hours of night open stations reasonably based on the characteristics of surrounding industries, transportation, and population, and set up night functions of stations in a hierarchical and classified manner. For stations with more residential areas, focus on providing convenient commercial services and opening up recreational spaces; For stations with more office buildings, coffee shops, dessert shops, etc. should be appropriately added.
The second is to enrich the connotation of services and create distinctive cultural projects. In addition to meeting the basic needs of citizens, waterfront service stations can create distinctive cultural projects at night, creating a unique cultural atmosphere of "one river, one river". Such as hosting small-scale stage plays and theatrical performances, holding book clubs and forums, organizing photography exhibitions, art exhibitions, etc., to make the site's services not only warm but also have cultural taste.
The third is to introduce market forces and moderately promote service outsourcing. The operational models of waterfront service stations vary, with stations managed within the system generally not open for night services, while stations that introduce social forces are relatively active and able to provide night services. Local streets should be encouraged to actively introduce social forces, introduce high-quality brands, moderately promote outsourcing services, and further improve the service level of waterfront service stations.
The fourth is to launch waterfront maps and provide accessible services. Integrate the information of waterfront service stations and waterfront space facilities in various districts, timely launch an electronic map for waterfront tourism, provide station names and addresses, opening hours, convenient functions, special services, etc., timely push the latest updates and activity information of waterfront public spaces, so that more citizens and tourists can enjoy more humanized services when visiting "One River, One River".
