On June 22nd, the Shanghai International Art Festival in China released the new art education brand "101 Art Field" and the upgraded "Huihua Unlimited" event content. "101 Art Field" will fully leverage the platform advantages of the art festival, with the development of high-quality art research projects as the core, to create an art education activity that integrates fun, diversity, and practicality. This is an important step taken by the Shanghai International Art Festival Center in actively responding to the call of the "Social Art Education Plan" and exploring the creation of a "universal, all age, all domain, and all time" social art education system.
The "101 Art Theatre" will mainly target children and parent-child families aged 3 to 18 across the country. Based on the characteristics of different age groups, we plan to develop preschool art enlightenment courses for 3-6 years old, art courses for 6-12 years old children, and art courses for 12-16 years old teenagers. Through refined class teaching and advanced teaching concepts such as PBL and EL, we aim to create a diverse and immersive art education scene.
The curriculum will be based on excellent traditional Chinese culture, combined with international resources from art festivals, to broaden students' artistic horizons, and ultimately enable them to use a comprehensive perspective and diverse ways of expression to tell Chinese stories well on the world stage.
Huihua Infinite
In the future, "101 Art Theatre" will also launch overseas learning courses, mainly including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Israel and other lines. The art festival will rely on overseas "circle of friends" including major art festivals and institutions around the world to open exclusive art education and international cultural exchange projects for "101 Art Theatre". By 2025, "101 Art Theatre" will form three major curriculum systems: overseas internships, art education, and art experience and practice.
Since its trial operation in June this year, "101 Art Theatre" has provided museum art education courses and drama experience courses to nearly 250 students. Both families and schools have received enthusiastic responses, and there has been a strong enthusiasm for course registration in the later stage. It is reported that the current curriculum design will revolve around five levels: TALK, WALK, CLASS, CLUB, and CAMP. Children will experience the vibrant colors and complex rigor behind stage art through activities such as walking through music streets, creative themed activities, on-site visits to art festivals, and art camps at home and abroad.
To ensure the quality of the courses at the 101 Art Theatre, the Shanghai International Art Festival Center in China has specially invited Wang Yong, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Musicians Association and Dean of the School of Music at Shanghai University, and Wu Jie, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Dancers Association and Secretary of the Party Branch and President of the Dance School affiliated with the Shanghai Academy of Drama, as the Art Director of the 101 Art Theatre.
The "Huihua Unlimited" student art practice activity, founded in 2018, adheres to providing teachers and students with an experience and platform for mutual communication and collaborative creation with artists. This year, under the guidance of the Shanghai Art Education Commission, hosted by the Shanghai International Art Festival Center in China, and organized by Shanghai Liteng Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., the "2023" Wisdom Painting Infinity "student art practice activity of the Shanghai International Art Festival Campus Tour will run through the entire summer, and will continue to invite art educators and public art planners Liu Yi to take on educational planning and artistic creation. The event will be the first to enter the public cultural performance space of the city, with the theme of "home", drawing inspiration from urban development and nature. In the end, each child participating in the workshop will complete an independent work and exhibit it in a public area along with other works, becoming part of the co creation artwork of "Harmonious Home".

Against the backdrop of promoting the construction of "social art education" throughout the city, the emergence of "101 Art Theatre" and "Infinite Wisdom Painting" has demonstrated the broad vision and proactive actions of the Shanghai International Art Festival in China. In the future, the Shanghai International Art Festival in China will also mobilize high-quality performing arts resources from around the world, increase its tilt towards the art education sector, provide more opportunities for citizens, especially young people and children, to enter the art hall, promote the high-quality development of public cultural services in Shanghai, innovate cultural projects for the benefit of the people, and enhance the soft power of urban culture.
