Exclusive video: Xi Jinping: Adhere to the original intention of establishing diplomatic relations, continue traditional friendship and promote the continuous development of China-Poland relations to a higher level
On the afternoon of June 24, President Xi Jinping held talks with Polish President Andrzej Duda, who was on a state visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Xi Jinping pointed out that Mr. President is an old friend and good friend of the Chinese people. He has long been committed to promoting the development of China-Poland relations. I appreciate this. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Poland. Your visit is timely and of great significance for both sides to sum up experience and work together. At present, changes in the world, the times and history are unfolding in an unprecedented way. China is willing to work with Poland to adhere to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, uphold the original intention of establishing diplomatic relations, continue traditional friendship, promote the continuous development of bilateral relations to a higher level, and inject more stability and certainty into the current international situation of intertwined changes.
Duda said: "Dear President, thank you very much for inviting me for my second state visit. I am deeply convinced that this visit will further promote the development of Polish-Chinese relations. I am very happy and honored that Mr. President calls me a friend and enables me to work with you to promote the development of bilateral relations."
