The first mission of the Long March 6 this year has been successful, and the "Made in Shanghai" rocket has completed another important launch of a carrier rocket today | Launch | Long March
At 11:18 am today, the Long March 6 carrier rocket ignited and took off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, successfully launching the Test 25 satellite into the designated orbit. The launch mission was a complete success, and the first launch mission of the Long March 6 model for this year was successful.
The Long March 6 carrier rocket is a low-temperature liquid three-stage carrier rocket developed by the Shanghai Institute of Aerospace Technology of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group. It has the ability to launch various types of satellites with different orbital requirements and can carry out single or multiple satellite launches. Its sun synchronous circular orbit has a carrying capacity of up to 1.0 tons and an orbital height of 700 kilometers.
In order to adapt to the layout and interface requirements of the satellite inside the fairing, a new bracket has been developed for this launch mission based on the overall configuration of the satellite, providing effective "lifting+support" for the satellite. At the same time, in terms of satellite separation, Changliu has adopted a point connection separation device composed of four components for the first time, which has the characteristics of light weight and intensive function. In addition, the dual redundancy function of its individual components greatly improves the reliability of separation.
In response to the frequent satellite operation projects after the rocket transitioned to the launch area, the design and operation personnel of both sides of the model organization conducted a special exchange, confirming the timing, process, tools, precautions, and other aspects of the operation one by one; At the same time, arrange specialized operation drills, optimize the operation process, and ensure controllable time, safety, and smooth operation in actual operations.
The Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in June is in a season with more thunderstorms. The model underwent re identification, re analysis, and re confirmation of summer launch risks at the launch site. Based on the characteristics of the unsupported launch of the Long March 6 carrier rocket, a special review on rain and lightning protection will be carried out to ensure that the rocket meets the requirements for pre launch operations and launch during thunderstorm seasons.
The experimental satellite No. 25 launched this time is developed by Dongfanghong Satellite Co., Ltd. of the Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology. It mainly conducts new earth observation technology experiments for use in fields such as national land survey, urban planning, and disaster prevention and reduction.
This launch is the 477th launch of the Long March series carrier rocket, the 188th flight test of the Long March series carrier rocket developed by Shanghai Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, and the 11th launch of the Long March 6 carrier rocket.
