There is really a lilac-like girl in the Lilac Lane of Suzhou
There is a Dingxiang Lane in Suzhou City, which is a branch lane on Pingjiang Road. The origin of the name of Dingxiang Lane may come from Ding Wei, the "Five Poison Prime Ministers" of the Northern Song Dynasty. Ding Wei was extremely smart since childhood and "never forgot what he read", but he was criticized by the world as an official. It is said that at a public banquet, he wiped the beard of his superior Kou Zhun with his own hands, regardless of his decency. Kou Zhun was very contemptuous and rebuked him in public: "A minister of the country, a minister of the country, is brushing the beard of an official?" The people in his hometown were even more ashamed of this, and renamed the lane where he lived "Dingxiang Lane", trying to use the strong fragrance of cloves to wash away the stench of Ding Wei's name.
Most of the houses in Dingxiang Lane are bungalows with tiles, which fits the original "pink-and-white" Suzhou. The white walls have grown so white over the years that they look like freshly cooked soybean milk; the black tiles are so low that a tall person can just stand on tiptoe and reach out to hook the tiles on the eaves. The doors of the shallow houses facing the street are mostly open, with no privacy at all, as if anyone can come in and sit in the main room, ask for a cup of tea, or rest their feet.
There are no lilacs in Lilac Lane, only a primary school. There is an English teacher in the school, Tao, who is in her early twenties. She has long hair and looks pure and pretty. All the children like this soft-spoken sister.
In the classroom corridor, you can often see a teenager "standing in the corner". He is taller than his peers, his blue and white school uniform hangs loosely on his body, and his messy hair is like a chicken coop. He leans lazily against the wall, seemingly admitting his mistakes, and occasionally looks up with a sly look in his eyes. He lives in a single-parent family, steals things, fights in groups, writes love letters... He is almost "evil-doing". Teachers and leaders are naturally troubled by such "problem teenagers".
Since Teacher Tao took over as the English teacher, she never scolded him. Every time she asked a question, she would always wait for him to finish answering with an encouraging look and a smile. No matter whether he answered correctly or incorrectly, she would gently stroke his head, just like the love of an older sister for her younger brother. One day, he passed by the office and heard the head teacher mention his name, from scolding to cursing. Teacher Tao said: Everyone makes mistakes, and making mistakes is not unforgivable. He is not a bad person by nature, and he is a smart child.
He suddenly changed his personality and started to study hard. In just half a semester, his grades jumped from the bottom to the top five in the class. Perhaps because of the "appearance is determined by the heart", everyone was surprised to find that the boy had "grown up". Wearing white casual pants and a light blue T-shirt, his sharp eyebrows, starry eyes, straight nose and square mouth were even more prominent. He stood out from the crowd. He grew from a sloppy and decadent boy to a handsome and energetic young man.
One day, he lay on his desk in great frustration: Today I saw Teacher Xu holding an umbrella for Teacher Tao...
On more rainy days, a fair-skinned, tall and handsome young man appeared beside Teacher Tao. They looked at each other at first, then smiled knowingly. They shared an umbrella, a little excited, a little shy, and seemed to be looking forward to the rain getting heavier. Not far behind them stood a young man without an umbrella. He was wet from head to toe by raindrops, his eyes were moist, "but I watch the beautiful dust go away, who will spend the golden years with me?"
To others, the boy was having an unrealistic "daydream". However, that was many years ago.
The rain was getting heavier and heavier, and I was soaked from head to toe. I couldn't leave, so I went to a nearby teahouse and ordered a pot of Biluochun, and four kinds of snacks: jujube paste cake, pan-fried steamed buns, crab shell yellow, and shrimp dumplings. The Suzhou-style cakes were exquisite and delicious.
After sitting down, the rain outside got heavier. The sound of the heavy rain was like a waterfall, and the sound of the dense snow was like breaking jade. I couldn't leave for a while. The owner of the store set up the chessboard on the table. The ancients compared Go to a "wooden fox" that "suddenly smiles in a thousand ways, and eight or nine out of ten people are confused." "In the middle of the game... a single move affects the whole body... it is extremely complex and interesting." When the first chess piece landed on the chessboard, the beautiful chess shape also splashed like rain flowers. You have a white piece, I have a black piece, "chess meets a worthy opponent, generals meet a good talent", from noon to dusk, the game ended, and we pushed the chessboard and laughed, and the party ended.
The rain was much lighter. Suddenly, Jay Chou's "Fireworks Cool Easily" floated from a window: "Dreams are cold, a lifetime of tossing and turning, how many debts of love are there... What echoes on the stone slabs is waiting again, the rain is falling, the grass and trees in the old hometown are thick", the melody and lyrics are very suitable for the scene. The long and lonely rain alley should have a lilac-like girl.
