Professor Su Zhiliang, Director of the Urban Culture Research Center at Shanghai Normal University, believes that at the urban level, cultural soft power encompasses elements such as urban spirit, urban civilization, urban culture, urban policies, and urban image, focusing on human value choices and the non materialistic development of cities. The level of urban development in Shanghai represents the highest level of urban development in China. According to the latest World City Rankings, Shanghai ranks seventh in the world. Culture is an important factor in enhancing the urban taste of Shanghai. In the future, we should further condense the urban spirit and improve the overall humanistic literacy of the city; Promote the aggregation and development of cultural industries; Enhance urban civilization and further enhance the social civilization level of international metropolises; Strengthen urban management and enhance the sense of belonging of urban population; Shaping urban image and promoting sustainable development of the city.
