Inbound and outbound tourism has grown rapidly, with travel orders to some countries such as Europe and Latin America increasing by more than 80%, and overall inbound tourism orders increasing by 100% year-on-year. The end of June to early July, mid-July, and mid-August are the three peak travel periods in the summer.
Shanghai is the most popular domestic tourist destination, and long-distance travel to border areas is popular
This summer, long-distance travel accounted for more than 70%, and traditional popular frontier long-distance travel continued to be popular. According to booking data, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Urumqi, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Nanjing, and Shenzhen are the top ten most popular domestic tourist cities during the summer vacation. The sinking markets such as fifth-tier cities and counties are still active. During the summer vacation, the tourism orders in fifth-tier cities increased by 34% year-on-year, and the tourism orders in counties increased by 22% year-on-year, both of which were higher than the growth rates of first-tier and new first-tier cities.
