Gan Xiaoming was previously punished and investigated
According to the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision on June 27, Gan Xiaoming, former member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Wuhan CPPCC, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and laws and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision.
Public information shows that Gan Xiaoming, male, Han nationality, native of Wuhan, Hubei, was born in May 1963. He has a postgraduate degree from the Provincial Party School. He started working in October 1983 and joined the Communist Party of China in December 1985.
Gan Xiaoming worked in the Qiaokou District Court and the Qiaokou District Party Committee Office in Wuhan City. He served as the deputy secretary of the Qiaokou District Youth League Committee, deputy director of the Qiaokou District Party Committee Propaganda Department, and director of the District Civilization Office. In November 1997, he was appointed as the Standing Committee Member and Propaganda Department Director of the Qiaokou District Party Committee. In October 2000, he was appointed as the Standing Committee Member and Propaganda Department Director of the Qingshan District Party Committee. In July 2006, he was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the Wuhan Municipal Party Committee. In March 2009, he was clearly identified as a bureau-level official. In November 2011, he was appointed as the Party Secretary of the Wuhan Municipal Urban Management Bureau. In February 2012, he was appointed as the Director of the Wuhan Municipal Urban Management Bureau, and later served as the Director and Party Secretary of the Wuhan Municipal Urban Management Committee.
In August 2015, he was appointed Secretary of the Jianghan District Committee of Wuhan and Director of the Management Committee of Wuhan Central Business District. From February 2017 to January 2024, he served as Vice Chairman of the Wuhan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and stepped down in January this year.
From November to December 2016, the third central environmental protection inspection team conducted an environmental protection inspection in Hubei Province, and in April 2017, it transferred 18 ecological environmental damage accountability issues found by the inspection to Hubei Province, requiring investigation and handling in accordance with laws and regulations. Gan Xiaoming was given an internal party warning for the illegal disposal of a large amount of construction waste in Wuhan.
