Add another educational base and cultural stronghold within the campus of Fudan Medical College. This afternoon, the National Scientist Spiritual Education Base of the Key Laboratory of Medical Molecular Virology was officially unveiled, and the Basic Medical Discipline Week kicked off simultaneously.
On the occasion of National Science and Technology Workers Day on May 30th this year, seven departments including the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly released the list of recognized scientific spirit education bases for 2023. At the event, Chen Xin, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, presented a plaque to the Key Laboratory of Medical Molecular Virology.

The Key Laboratory of Medical Virology is located in the Fuxing Building of Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University, including the main exhibition area, lobby exhibition area, and laboratory culture area, and has an online digital library. The wall of the Science Museum is engraved with four concise sayings by Academician Wen Yumei, explaining the connotation of the spirit of scientists.
The exhibition hall records the long history and inheritance of the pathogen discipline through the display of old objects, historical photos, and other forms. It has been nearly a century since the establishment and development of the Department of Pathogenic Biology by predecessors such as Tang Feifan and Lin Feiqing, and the establishment of a key laboratory by Wen Yumei. The exhibition hall combines traditional forms such as precious specimens, classic images, and microscopic sections with modern methods such as human-computer interaction and naked eye 3D to display micro world scenes one by one.
