A community home is transformed by 9 robots. Shanghai Mingrenyuan Park will start trial operation in the third quarter of this year.
Mingrenyuan, which will reopen in the third quarter of this year, is not an ordinary community project. It not only "breaks the wall", but also introduces 9 construction robots to be updated and renovated in turn. It is the community complex with the most intelligent "Luban" in Shanghai. And this is just the beginning. The reporter learned that robots will appear more and more frequently in Shanghai's urban renewal projects.
In Jinyang, Pudong, Mingrenyuan has long become a part of the daily life of residents. Tao Qiang, general manager of Shanghai Mingrenyuan Industrial Co., Ltd., said that Mingrenyuan has been in operation for more than 20 years, and its buildings and facilities are old and its supporting functions are insufficient, which can no longer meet the needs of community residents. Therefore, urban renewal was launched at the end of 2022, and the progress of the renovation has always been concerned by surrounding residents.
Mingrenyuan has a total land area of about 95,000 square meters. Although it is not large in scale, the renovation content is complex and extensive, which is where construction robots come in handy. "Mingrenyuan needs to reconstruct its space and functions. According to the plan, the length of the park and the number of openings along the street need to be increased, the water system needs to be renovated, and cultural and sports and convenience services need to be added. There are both renovations and repairs of old buildings and new steel structures. The introduction of construction robots can free construction workers from high-risk, high-intensity, and high-repetition construction scenes." said Li Wei, the urban renewal project manager of Mingrenyuan of Shanghai Construction Engineering Second Construction Group.
On June 19, the 2024 Shanghai Construction Project Comprehensive Excellence Observation Conference focused on displaying the urban renewal construction robot matrix. At the site, you can see intelligent equipment such as material intelligent transportation platforms, crawler measurement robots, concrete leveling robots, visual collection inspection vehicles, AI broadcast inspection robots, putty spraying robots, latex paint spraying robots, and intelligent high-pressure water spraying robots "staying on duty" in different plots.
The intelligent high-pressure water spraying robot also won the "first in China". It is the first in China to simulate typhoons and rainstorms through intelligent devices, intelligent Internet of Things and other technologies. Through the background control, it can complete various instructions in 10 milliseconds, realizing intelligent, high-pressure and efficient water spraying tests. Only three people are needed to complete the water spraying test.
In addition to the construction phase, safety supervision and post-operation and maintenance have also been equipped with the wings of intelligent technology. Li Wei introduced that the Mingrenyuan project also uses the intelligent monitoring and early warning system for high-rise formwork, the intelligent air quality monitoring system, the intelligent sensing voice prompt system, and the AI Sky Eye digital command platform to monitor the dust, noise, and construction safety of the construction site in real time, thereby improving the efficiency of project management.
The reporter learned that during the renovation, the lake water in the celebrity garden was also fully purified. Li Wei led the project team to introduce a water ecological restoration system based on the structure of the natural ecosystem, artificially constructing the original water environment into a "living water system" with aquatic plants, aquatic animals, and aquatic microorganisms; the 10 world-class celebrity sculptures in the original old park were "restored as they were" and preserved, continuing the unique cultural temperament of celebrity stories.
At present, the park is undergoing open debugging, and will later introduce a cloud-based intelligent operation platform to achieve full life cycle services from construction to operation and maintenance.
