When talking about filming "Flowers" with director Wong Kar-wai, Hu Ge said that director Wong Kar-wai's shooting style is very meticulous and layered, and his lens language, image aesthetics and narrative skills are all admirable. Hu Ge also thanked director Wong Kar-wai for filming the warmest, memorable and carefree childhood in Shanghai. As for the recommended private food in the play, Hu Ge recommended soup rice, "the leftover rice from last night, soaked in water the next day, was the most common breakfast when I was a child, and then served with a dish of side dishes", simple and delicious.

When asked how to feel life and better fit in and interpret the role, Hu Ge said: "Don't use the identity of an actor to feel life. I usually drive out to observe passers-by, to see how they live, their expressions, their states, etc."
