In the early morning of June 13, the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College issued a "Statement on the Medical Injury Incident on June 12". The specific content is as follows.

On June 12, an online media reported that "A nurse in Haikou was stabbed by a patient at night, and the police have intervened." The medical injury incident occurred in the Second Ward of Neurology Department of our hospital, but the media's statement was inconsistent with the facts. The relevant situation is explained as follows:

At noon on June 11, the patient Lin was admitted to our hospital for treatment. When he was admitted, Lin was in a normal mood, no mental abnormalities were found, and there was no medical dispute.

At 00:01 on June 12, when the nurse on duty, Nurse Cai, was writing a nursing record, the patient suddenly went around behind her, strangled her neck, and cut the nurse's neck with a fruit knife. Nurse Cai used her left hand to block it, and the inner side of her left upper arm was cut by the fruit knife. Other medical staff in the department and hospital security personnel immediately cooperated to control Lin on the spot and called the police immediately. The local police station officers arrived in time and took Lin to the police station for further processing.

After the incident, the hospital attached great importance to it and took active measures. The injured nurse Cai was rushed to the operating room. During the operation, it was found that the wound was about 7 cm long, the left ulnar flexor carpi muscle was partially ruptured, the intramuscular artery was ruptured and bleeding, and the epidermis of the ulnar nerve was congested and edematous. After debridement and suture, she was returned to the ward safely.

The party and government leaders, labor unions and relevant functional departments of our hospital went to the ward on behalf of all hospital staff to express their condolences to Nurse Cai and her family. Currently, Nurse Cai is in a stable mood and is being cared for by her family. Personnel have been arranged to provide psychological counseling for her.

We would like to thank all sectors of society for their attention to this incident and their sympathy and concern for Nurse Cai. We strongly condemn the vile behavior of harming medical staff, firmly support the judicial organs in enforcing the law, and firmly maintain the normal order of medical services.

A reporter asked: We have noticed that during the recent Shangri La Dialogue, high-level officials from Indonesia, Singapore, and other countries expressed their unwillingness to see a "new Cold War" and did not want to be forced to take sides between China and the United States. What is the spokesperson's comment on this? Spokesperson Wang Wenbin stated that the statement fully demonstrates the intention of individual countries to launch a "new cold war" in Asia, forcing regional countries to choose sides and take sides, which has aroused widespread vigilance and resolute opposition from regional countries. Adhering to strategic autonomy and maintaining regional stability and development is the common aspiration of countries in the region. Some countries claim to be free and open, claiming to maintain regional peace and prosperity, but in reality, they constantly assemble various military groups and try to push NATO eastward into the Asia Pacific. The attitude of most countries in the region towards this is
