Within 3 years, the annual throughput can reach 150 million pieces, and the Li Ning East China Smart Logistics Center will be opened in Shanghai
Recently, the Li Ning E-commerce Operation Center and East China Smart Logistics Center opened in Jiading, Shanghai. This is another heavyweight appearance of this well-known sports goods enterprise in Shanghai, following the establishment of Li Ning Group's Shanghai headquarters and Yangtze River Delta global business headquarters in Changning District in 2021. Compared to the "dual headquarters" located in the central urban area of Changning, where the fashion and creative industry is developed in Shanghai, the newly put into use East China Smart Logistics Center is located in Jiading, Shanghai. It is the first smart logistics warehouse built by Li Ning Group and will use automation, digitization, and intelligence methods to achieve smart logistics upgrades.
The reporter learned that the Jiading Li Ning Smart Logistics Park covers an area of about 90 acres, covering the East China Smart Logistics Center and Li Ning E-commerce Operation Center, with a construction area of over 94000 square meters, covering the warehousing and logistics scenarios of Li Ning Group's four major business needs: direct sales, wholesale, e-commerce, and O2O. The overall storage capacity can reach 10 million pieces, and the daily operation capacity can reach 600000 pieces, which can focus on meeting the needs of six markets including Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Anhui, Jiangxi, and Shandong.
Qian Wei, Executive Director and Co CEO of Li Ning Group, introduced that warehousing and logistics mainly have the characteristics of fully utilizing space, achieving mechanization, automated management, and reducing dependence on manual labor. The intelligent logistics platform can match different logistics warehousing operation strategies and flexibly adjust the online and offline warehousing operation capabilities based on different business needs and sales forecasts of enterprises in different scenarios. By using data analysis, enterprises can also predict logistics production plans, promote more precise and efficient operation of production and sales ends, and fully leverage the core hub function of logistics links.
The East China Smart Logistics Center, which has been put into use this time, integrates the resources of 7 warehouses previously owned by Li Ning Group in the East China region. Through automation and intelligent transformation, warehouses have changed the traditional "person to person" picking method and achieved "goods to person" picking through automated equipment such as robotic arms and robots. From unloading, warehousing, picking, packaging to sorting out of the warehouse, the operational efficiency and accuracy of the entire logistics process can be improved. Li Ning introduced that after the logistics center starts zero picking automation, its comprehensive efficiency of zero picking will increase by more than 80%, and storage efficiency can be improved by 100%.
For different business scenarios such as direct sales and wholesale, Li Ning Group has taken advantage of the opening of the East China Smart Logistics Center to match different warehousing and logistics solutions in a targeted manner. Among them, the newly put into use tray dense storage area can increase its storage capacity by 80% compared to the traditional tray storage mode, improving logistics efficiency and accelerating commodity circulation efficiency. Li Ning introduced that after the launch of the East China Smart Logistics Center in September, it is expected to achieve an annual throughput of 84 million items in 2024 and 150 million items in 2026.
In addition, the Li Ning East China Smart Logistics Center has also achieved full warehouse automation through the investment of intelligent robots and automation equipment, which operates efficiently without turning on the lights in a "black light warehouse" manner, further promoting energy conservation and environmental protection. Next, the center will also launch energy-saving projects such as rainwater recycling and photovoltaic power generation, promoting green operations in various links of the logistics park. It is reported that the center will also be equipped with an open rooftop sports field, which can be used by surrounding residents at that time.
