Curator Tang Jihui stated that although Huang Yanpei and Hu Juewen are 17 years apart, they have had many interactions due to common beliefs and beliefs, and have become lifelong friends. The two of them will devote their lives to the cause of national independence, national liberation, economic revitalization, and social progress, making tremendous contributions to the development of modern Chinese industry, the victory of the New Democratic Revolution, and the prosperity of the socialist motherland. This is also the reason why this exhibition is named "Friends Association".
The exhibition showcases over 50 original manuscripts and documents of the two individuals, spanning a period of 65 years. Among them, the earliest one, "Letter from Huang Yanpei to Jiang Wenxi," was written on October 11, 1922, and has a history of 100 years.
Some exhibits also showcase the interaction between the two and Baoshan. A collection of poems titled "Liaodong Grass Attached to Bingmen Grass" was gifted to Wu Bangzhen after Huang Yanpei inscribed it in 1928. Wu Bangzhen was born in Baoshan, Shanghai, and was a tribute recipient in the late Qing Dynasty. She served as the principal of Baoshan County Higher Primary School and the director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. "Liaodong Grass" and "Bingmen Grass" are two of Huang Yanpei's earliest published poetry collections. He once described himself: "I have a natural love for traveling, of which twenty-three were forced to flee, and the rest seven or eight were automatically examined for tourism. Any motivation, what I hear, see, or feel, is mostly written in his poetry." "Liaodong Grass" was written by Huang Yanpei during his forced escape in Liaodong from May to November 1927.

The other is the original manuscript of Feng Guohua's "Actively Eliminating Traitories and Long Term Anti Japanese War", which was inscribed by Huang Yanpei after 1945. Feng Guohua was an educator from Baoshan and a famous anti Japanese hero. After the outbreak of the Shanghai Anti Japanese War on August 13, he embarked on the path of resistance and national salvation. He died heroically in October 1938. Huang Yanpei wrote in his manuscript, "The remains of martyrs provide detailed and accurate information about traitors."
Tang Jihui introduced that Huang Yanpei had a deep friendship with famous people of Baoshan nationality, such as Yuan Xitao, Zhang Jiaxui, Zhang Junmai, and so on. He also founded Jiangsu Provincial Fisheries School in Wusong with famous industrialist Zhang Jian in 1912. In 1932, he wrote the memorial archway of "Gaojing Temple Memorial Village" for Baoshan... Hu Juewen and the famous scholar of Baoshan were cousins, and Hu Juewen's wife was Pan Guangdan's cousin, which added a "kinship" with Baoshan.

The exhibition opens a window for the audience to study carefully and understand the profound meaning behind the literature. There is a story behind the collection of poems by Huang Yanpei, who signed and gifted Zhang Shizhao's "Baosang Collection" at this exhibition. In January 1938, Huang Yanpei and his friends went from Guilin to Wuzhou and went boating on the West River. They wrote a poem called "The West River Moon": "In March, the Song waves turned blue, and ten years ago, the Beijing Palace was filled with smoke. The national soul called out to the south, and thousands of soldiers met. They had known their achievements and fame in the dust, so they didn't have to wade through mountains and rivers. They took on the shoulders of their families and nations, tying the line of the Bao Sang tree." Tang Jihui said that the term "Bao Sang" comes from the "Book of Changes": "Its demise is related to the Bao Sang tree.". "Huang Yanpei uses these two words to symbolize that although the Chinese nation has suffered hardships, it still possesses strong and vibrant vitality."
When appreciating Hu Juewen's "Former Red Cliff Ode" and Mao Zedong's poem "Shui Diao Ge Tou: Reaching Jinggangshan", people may be curious about the "re beard" and "no beard" of his signature. Beard is the same as beard. Researchers have also written an article about why Hu Jue left a beard and why he shaved it. It tells the touching story of a patriot who had grown a beard and had a clear mind for more than ten years, running around for national affairs and sacrificing himself for selflessness.
