On September 8th, the 14th Changning District Public Welfare Partner Day and the 2nd Shanghai Charity Week Changning themed event of "Five Societies Unite and Love Changning" was held, and the "Five Societies Linkage" Action Guidelines for Changning District were officially released. At present, there are 807 registered social organizations in Changning District. At the event, the "Ten Excellence" Public Welfare Venture Investment Excellent Project of Changning District's Social Organizations in 2023, the "Ten Excellence" Social Organization Public Welfare Brand, the "Ten Excellence" Characteristic Social Organizations, the "Ten Excellence" Social Organization Empowerment Pioneer, and the "Ten Excellence" Social Organization Leader were awarded, demonstrating the positive role of the "Five Societies" in democratic consultation, community building, elderly care services, poverty alleviation and other fields.
Shen Xin, Director of the Civil Affairs Bureau of Changning District, introduced that since the beginning of this year, Changning District has launched 42 community public welfare venture capital projects with an investment of 3 million yuan. 91 projects from 77 social organizations have been included in the recommended directory of social organizations at the municipal level to undertake and purchase services, achieving effective integration between public welfare services and residents' needs. On the basis of building the first district level social work station in the city last year, this year the comprehensive social work stations in 10 streets and towns in the entire district have achieved full coverage, with 610 certified community workers and a certification rate of 31.3%. In addition, charity supermarkets, as the basic platform for the development of community charity, have also become grassroots charity positions to enhance the soft power of Changning urban areas. Projects such as the Xinhua Community Creation Center, Huayang Community Revitalization Plan, and Xinjing Town Neighborhood Alley have effectively promoted the spatial transformation and revitalization of the community through professional guidance from social organizations and support from social charity resources. The Yuyuan Road Tourism and Leisure Block Co governance Alliance in Jiangsu Road Street and the Sustainable Development Block Party Building Alliance in Huangjincheng Road Pedestrian Street in Hongqiao Street have promoted the construction of block communities by integrating social organizations and block resources.
"Five social linkage" refers to the mutual linkage between communities and social organizations, social workers, community volunteers, and social charity resources. At present, there are 154 3A or above social organizations in Changning, including 15 5A social organizations and 18 4A social organizations. Through actively conducting social organization evaluations, the quality of social organizations in the entire region has been improved, the structure has been optimized, the capabilities have been enhanced, and the role has been more significant. Especially in terms of serving grassroots governance, in recent years, a number of high-quality projects have emerged in Changning District, including the installation of elevators in Zhoujiaqiao Street, the "Star Volunteer" in Tianshan Road Street, the "thatched cottage" in the city in Xianxia New Village Street, the open elderly care community in Chengqiao Second Village, and the "Good Housing Plan" for the elderly in need in Beixinjing. Social organizations are becoming an important force in improving people's quality of life.
