Shanghai International Tea Culture Tourism Festival opens on Wujiang Road
On September 17th, 2023, the 28th Shanghai International Tea Culture Tourism Festival opened in the leisure district of Wujiang Road in Jing'an District.
The Shanghai International Tea Culture and Tourism Festival is an important brand project of the Shanghai Tourism Festival. This year, with "one market, four selections, and tea throughout the city" as the core content, it gathers the whole country, mobilizes the whole city, and shares with the whole people, focusing on transforming Shanghai's urban resource advantages into a new example of cultural tourism empowering the city, assisting enterprise development, and promoting foreign cooperation and exchange.
Shanghai is one of the largest tea distribution centers in China, a highland in the tea consumption market, and a leader in tea brand trends. It is also the city with the most tea houses in 50 international cultural metropolises worldwide. This year, the Shanghai International Tea Culture Tourism Festival launched its first concentrated "four selection" activity, focusing on Shanghai's tea consumption highlands and tea trend leaders, opening up a new track of integrated development of tea culture tourism and tea industry.
Facing Shanghai, we have launched a collection of 100 "Shanghai Tea Houses" and "Shanghai Tea Beverages". The first batch of more than 50 "Shanghai Tea Houses" have distinctive characteristics and are good places for citizens to have business meetings, make friends, and relax; Various trendy tea drinks can instantly ignite a new trend of consumption among young people. Facing the whole country, we have launched the "Ten Most Beautiful Tea Hometown Tour Recommended Routes" and the "Top Ten Famous teas in China" selection activities, with more than 50 participating routes covering the most classic and representative tea town tours in major tea producing areas across the country; More than 50 well-known teas participated in the evaluation, interpreting the creativity and diversity of Chinese tea through the stories behind the tea people in the tea hometown.
The cross-border cooperation of "cultural tourism+" is a "fast forward key" to boost confidence and drive consumption. From September 15th to 19th, the Tea Culture Market, co organized by Daning International Tea City, gathered more than 20 well-known tea brands from all over the country and promoted tea culture and tourism activities in some cities, making a concentrated appearance in the Wujiang Road Leisure Block. For example, focusing on rural revitalization, the Shanghai Baisi Public Welfare Foundation has partnered with Jingning "Huiming Tea" to hold multiple promotional activities on-site; Fujian Fu'an regards the event as an important platform to open up the Shanghai market and vigorously promotes "Tanyang Gongfu" black tea; Focusing on the counterpart support work in Shanghai, this year we will cooperate with Xizang's "Zhuoma Spring Natural Snow Mountain Water" and use it as the designated water; Focusing on brand cooperation, we will launch designated tea gifts with Shanghai's time-honored brands such as Lei Yun Shang and trendy tea house T9 Tea to enhance the influence and recognition of the festive brand's Shanghai style characteristics. In addition to 20 booths on site, the "Cultural and Tourism Consumption Season Tea Drink Activity" has been launched for the first time, mobilizing trendy tea drink shops to participate in public welfare activities through government subsidies and brand discounts.
Tea, originating from China and prevalent around the world, has deeply integrated tea culture into the lives of Chinese people. The public welfare activities of this year's Shanghai International Tea Culture Tourism Festival are rich and exciting, covering the entire city, providing citizens with a new experience of sharing the fragrance of tea and sharing beauty. For example, holding a "Children's Tea Art Competition" for primary and secondary school students in 16 districts of the city, deeply cultivating tea culture into the Shanghai style tea culture brand on campus; Multiple public cultural delivery events are delivered to the community, providing citizens with a tea culture experience at their doorstep; Organize a tea culture themed event titled "Drinking Tanyang Gongfu and Enjoying Family Happiness" at the Tourism Service Center in Jing'an District; In Lujiazui Shanghai center, public welfare experience activities such as "white-collar lunch tea" were held.
This event is hosted by the Organizing Committee of the Shanghai International Tea Culture and Tourism Festival, and organized by the Jing'an District Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Shanghai Cultural and Tourism Development Center.
