On September 18th, under the guidance of the Propaganda Department of the Hongkou District Committee, the "Remembering History and Cherishing Peace" and "The Day of the Anti Japanese War - Chronicles of the 1933 Far East Anti War Conference" digital image exhibition were jointly held by the Memorial Hall of the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party History Office of the Hongkou District Committee, and the Memorial Hall of the Chinese Leftist Writers Alliance.
Hongkou is one of the important regions where the Party was born, its original aspiration originated, and the great spirit of founding the Party nurtured. 90 years ago, on September 30, 1933, the CPC organized and held the Far East Anti war and Anti Fascist Conference in Huishan Road. This is a conference with international influence, attended by more than 60 representatives from the World Anti War Committee and domestic representatives. Song Qingling presided over the conference and gave a report on "China's Freedom and Anti Combat Struggle" at the meeting. Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Lu Xun, and others were elected as honorary chairpersons of the conference. The conference passed a declaration opposing imperialist war and fascism, a resolution opposing white terror, and protests against imperialist attacks on the Soviet Red Army and the Nationalist Party's encirclement and suppression of the Soviet Red Army. And established the Chinese branch of the Anti Imperialist War Committee, with Song Qingling as the chairman of the Chinese branch. The conference closely linked China's progressive forces with the world's anti war forces, and integrated China's anti Japanese war into the international anti fascist struggle.
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Far East Anti war Conference, the Digital Photo Exhibition "The Day of Anti Japanese War Came - Chronicles of the Far East Anti war Conference" in 1933 introduced the historical background of the Far East Anti war Conference, the tortuous and difficult course of the conference, and the significance and impact of this international conference organized, prepared and held by the CPC for the first time.
On that day, Zhou Qikang, the daughter of Zhou Wen, a member of the Chinese Leftist Writers Alliance and the preparatory staff of the Far East Anti War Conference, introduced to the reporter the story of her parents who completed the task fearlessly in the past. "In 1933, in order to successfully hold the Far East Anti War Conference, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China instructed the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China to fully cooperate with Song Qingling in the preparation work for the conference. My father Zhou Wen and mother Zheng Yuzhi were mobilized by the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China to participate in the preparation. They disguised themselves as newlyweds and went shopping, with the task of purchasing daily necessities such as pots, pots, dishes, tea cups, knives, forks, and stoves used at the conference, as well as bread, cans, fruits, soda and other food consumed by dozens of Chinese and foreign representatives, and put them in two large wooden boxes..."
In addition, Luo Jienan, the daughter of Huang Lin, the Chairman of the Far East Anti War Conference's Security Committee, Zhang Jiahe, the chief lecturer of the "Hongkou Memory" preaching studio and a specially appointed professor at the Shanghai Youth League School, Zhang Hongyu, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Folk Literature and Art Association and Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Recitation Association, and Wei Rongzhi, the Propaganda Commissioner of the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China's Memorial Hall, all shared touching stories of the Anti Japanese War with everyone.
The relevant person in charge of Hongkou District said that the Far East Anti war Conference was the first international conference organized and organized by the CPC, which was of positive significance in mobilizing and organizing people from all walks of life to participate in the anti Japanese and national salvation movement, expanding the international publicity of China's war of resistance, and winning international public opinion to support China's anti aggression struggle.
