The Peruvian Navy's "United" Sailing Training Ship Visits Shanghai for the First Time
On September 18th, the Peruvian Navy's "United" sailing training ship, led by its captain Colonel Ars é, arrived at a military port in Shanghai for a five-day friendly visit. This is the first visit of the "United" sailing training ship to Shanghai, and also the fourth visit of a Peruvian naval vessel to Shanghai.
At around 8 o'clock in the morning, the military band of a naval base in the Eastern Theater Command played a welcoming song at the dock, and a welcome banner was raised on site to hold a warm welcome ceremony for the visiting "United" sailing training ship.
During the visit, naval officers and soldiers from both countries will conduct activities such as visiting warships, exchanging professional skills, and engaging in cultural and sports activities. The Peruvian Navy will organize activities such as "Peru's Future" and agricultural enterprise seminars. After the visit, the "United" sailing training ship will conduct maritime joint exercises with Chinese naval vessels, mainly focusing on formation movement and communication.
The United Sailing Training Ship has a length of 115.75 meters, a width of 13.6 meters, a displacement of 3881 tons, 34 sails, a sail area of 3538.75 square meters, and a maximum speed of 12 knots. During this visit, a total of 248 officers and soldiers visited the ship, including 24 officers, 124 soldiers, 1 employee, and 99 trainees.
