Focusing on the inheritance and development of cultural and tourism businesses driven by digital technology, the 2023 Shanghai Taiwan Seminar will be held
On September 21st, the 2023 Shanghai Taiwan Seminar on "Digital Technology Driven Cultural and Tourism Business Inheritance and Development" was held at the Hongqiao Hotel in Shanghai, sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government Counselor's Office and Taiwan's "Wang Bao", and co organized by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Taiwan's Wang Wang Zhongshi Cultural Media, and the East Asia Research Institute.
At the seminar, Zhou Xiwei, Vice Chairman of Wangwang Group, gave a keynote speech on "Chinese Culture Towards the World - Cultural and Local Creation", elaborating on the reasons for cultural attraction from different aspects such as meeting needs, creating characteristics, and shaping the environment, extracting Chinese cultural characteristics, and exchanging cultural experiences and feelings. Fang Shizhong, Director of the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, gave a keynote speech on "Shanghai Strategy for High Quality Development of Deep Integration of Culture and Tourism", introducing the extensive practices and explorations Shanghai has made in promoting deep integration of culture and tourism in recent years.
During the special speech on "How to Improve Urban Temperature and Cultural Taste", guests, experts, and scholars from Shanghai and Taiwan, including Jiang Haiyang and Wu Zhiqiang, counselors of the municipal government, Chen Ying, deputy district mayor of Changning District, Lin Gufang, mountain chief of Taiwan Yinlu Academy, and Zhu Huiliang, a Chinese art historian, delivered brilliant speeches. In the afternoon, two roundtable discussions focused on "Protection and Utilization in the Renovation of Historical Buildings" and "Innovation and Development of Cultural and Tourism Businesses Driven by Digital Technology".
It is reported that the Shanghai Taiwan seminar has been held since 2011. Previous seminars have mainly focused on the economic, trade, and cultural ties between Shanghai and Taiwan, consolidating the wisdom of all parties and playing a good role in promoting cross-strait cooperation, exchanges, peaceful development, and integrated development.
