As the International Children's Day is approaching, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, sent a reply to the students of Zhijiang Primary School in Jialing District, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province on May 30, cordially encouraging them. Zhijiang Primary School was formerly a primary school in a mountainous area in Jialing District, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. The mountains are high and the roads are steep, and the school buildings are old. In 2004, the school was relocated with the assistance of its counterparts in Zhejiang Province. In May of the same year, Xi Jinping, then Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, laid the foundation stone for the school.
This is the predecessor of Zhijiang Primary School - the school building of a mountain primary school in Jialing District, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province.
In September 2005, Zhijiang Primary School was officially put into use, and the conditions for running schools were significantly improved. Now, 287 primary school students are studying diligently, working actively, and growing up healthily and happily in a clean and tidy campus.
