Improving the level of network connectivity
Network connectivity is an indispensable infrastructure in the information age and plays a crucial role in promoting global economic, social, and cultural exchanges. As the world's largest developing country, China has been committed to promoting the construction of network connectivity and continuously improving the global level of network connectivity through cooperation with enterprises from around the world.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, we have continuously increased investment in the construction of information and communication infrastructure, improved relevant policies and regulations, encouraged enterprises to strengthen technological innovation and industrial upgrading, and continuously improved the coverage and quality of network infrastructure. At the same time, in order to further strengthen cooperation with countries around the world and help build global information and communication infrastructure and network connectivity, China has set up several international exchange, dialogue and cooperation platforms, such as the China Internet Governance Forum, the China Germany Internet Economic Dialogue, and the China Africa Internet Development and Cooperation Forum, to seek consensus and create business opportunities for the openness, sharing, mutual benefit and win-win results of the global cyberspace from the perspective of development concepts, new technology applications and innovation.
With the continuous innovation and industrial upgrading of China's information and communication technology, Chinese enterprises are more widely involved in international cooperation projects, providing high-quality network communication equipment and technical services to multiple countries. For example, the Asia Europe 5 and Asia Africa Europe 1 submarine cable projects invested and constructed by Chinese enterprises are important communication infrastructure of the "the Belt and Road", greatly improving the robustness and security of the overall network from China to West Asia, South Asia, Africa and Europe, and are demonstration projects for joint consultation, construction and sharing of global communication infrastructure; Chinese companies support South Africa in building Africa's first 5G commercial network and 5G laboratory, and cooperate with major communication operators in South Africa to provide fast and stable communication services to over 30 million South Africans.
A single flower blooming alone is not spring, a hundred flowers blooming together fills the garden with spring. In promoting global cooperation in information and communication infrastructure, China is not only a provider of investment and technology, but also a partner and responsible person. In the future, China will continue to deepen cooperation with other countries, jointly promote global network connectivity, promote common development, and make greater contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
