Nowadays, the livelihood guarantee network for people with disabilities is more sound and complete. As of the end of June 2023, China's two subsidy systems for people with disabilities have respectively benefited 11.613 million people with difficulties and 15.434 million people with severe disabilities, and a dynamic adjustment mechanism for subsidy standards has been established; As of the end of 2022, the number of disabled persons participating in the basic pension insurance for urban and rural residents in China reached 27.617 million, and 12.093 million disabled persons received pension benefits.

In recent years, China has focused on low-income disabled people in rural areas and continued to carry out targeted rehabilitation services for disabled people. The coverage rate of basic rehabilitation services for people with disabilities has remained stable at over 85%, and 12.18 million people with disabilities have received assistive device adaptation services. At the same time, China continuously strengthens and improves rehabilitation assistance services for disabled children, with 1.146 million disabled children receiving rehabilitation assistance.

The construction of an accessible environment is a powerful measure to protect the rights and interests of people with disabilities, and also a symbol of national and social civilization.

Life is brilliant because of dreams, and wonderful because of struggle. Nowadays, more and more people with disabilities are moving towards a broader social stage.

During the Chengdu Universiade, the licensed product Yan paper paintings were widely popular. However, few people know that the producers of these works are all disabled people from Wenjiang District, Chengdu, and Wang Linjiang is one of them. "Making Yan paper paintings made me truly feel that as long as we are diligent and hardworking, we disabled people also have a stage everywhere."

In April 2022, the General Office of the State Council issued the "Three Year Action Plan for Promoting Employment of Persons with Disabilities", which attracted widespread attention. The action plan requires a total of 1 million new disabled people to be employed in urban and rural areas nationwide from 2022 to 2024.

In recent years, China has continuously launched new measures to help people with disabilities find employment. As of the end of 2022, the number of certified disabled people employed in urban and rural areas in China exceeded 9 million. In 2022 alone, 592000 new urban and rural disabled people will be employed, achieving more than half of the three-year action plan goals.
