In the past 70 years since its establishment, Mohe Forest Farm has gone through historical stages such as logging, nurturing and thinning, logging cessation and protection, and ecological transformation.

In recent years, the Greater Khingan Mountains region where Mohe Forest Farm is located has accelerated the ecological transformation of forest farms, relying on the advantages of "green mountains and clear waters" resources, vigorously developing characteristic industries such as understory economy and forest tourism, and building a strong ecological security barrier in northern Xinjiang.

In January 2023, a forest nurturing team spontaneously formed by dozens of employees from Mohe Forest Farm worked in the sparsely populated mountains and forests.

Located about 2 kilometers away from the Mohe Forest Farm, adjacent to the Xing'an Forest Sea and the source of the Longjiang River, is Beiji Village, the northernmost border village in mainland China.

Arctic Village, formerly known as Mohe Village, was renamed in 1999. After the complete cessation of commercial logging of natural forests in 2014, Arctic Village actively explored the path of high-quality transformation and development while safeguarding ecological security barriers. In 2015, Arctic Village was officially awarded the national 5A level scenic spot. Various shops named "North", such as "North Post Office", "North Supply and Marketing Cooperative", and "North Dumpling Restaurant", have sprung up like mushrooms after rain.

The Arctic Village, which thrives in the north, continuously improves its green ecological industry system. Driven by industries such as wild berry collection, cold Chinese medicinal herb cultivation, and cold trial runs, "cold resources" are transformed into "hot economy".

"The ecology of the Three North regions is very fragile, and sand prevention and control is a long-term historical task.
