The US China Aviation Heritage Foundation also plans to organize young people to visit China, revisit history, and exchange ideas with young Chinese people. Green told reporters that the mission of the foundation is to help people think and understand the history, present, and future of the two countries by remembering the precious shared memories between the United States and China, and to promote the learning of history, deepening exchanges, and building friendship between the youth of the two countries. "When they have the opportunity to communicate face-to-face, they will continue to move forward on the basis of the friendship formed by their predecessors."
"This is a seed that can bear beautiful fruits," Green said.

"The Chinese people will never forget their old friends"
In 1941, General Chennault of the United States formed the "Chinese Air Force American Volunteer Air Force to Aid China" to jointly resist Japanese aggressors with the Chinese military and civilians. During the war to aid China, more than 2000 American members of the Flying Tigers sacrificed themselves in the battle, and more than 200 members of the Flying Tigers were rescued by the Chinese people. Many Chinese people sacrificed their lives during the rescue process.

Looking ahead to the future, as two major countries, China and the United States have a more important responsibility for world peace, stability, and development, and should and must achieve mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.
Green strongly agrees with this. He said that as two important countries in the world, the United States and China should overcome difficulties and seek cooperation.
Harry Moyer, a veteran of the Flying Tigers, is over a hundred years old and still tirelessly tells the story of the Flying Tigers to the younger generation. In early September this year, at an event in the Los Angeles area, the elderly recalled with deep affection the years of fighting alongside the Chinese people.
On October 30, 2020, in San Luis Obispo, California, USA, Flying Tigers veteran Harry Moyer flew a civilian small plane into the blue sky again to celebrate his 100th birthday.
"I have great respect and admiration for the Chinese people." He said that many American pilots were rescued by the Chinese people, hid during the day, transferred at night, and escorted to a safe zone. The old man also mentioned that he has visited China multiple times and witnessed the rapid development and changes in China. He hopes that the younger generation will continue to inherit the friendly friendship between the US and China people.

Valuing and inheriting friendship, crossing oceans. "I hope the friendship between China and the United States can write a new chapter"
Flying goggles, military oil and gas stoves, group photos of the Flying Tigers and the Chinese military and civilians... In the Kunming Museum, the Flying Tigers Memorial Hall has been open to the public for 11 years.
The message book records people's voices of cherishing peace and friendship: "The spirit of the Flying Tigers will endure forever, and we hope that the Chinese and American people will coexist peacefully forever." "Cherishing peace and opposing war is a beautiful wish and pursuit of humanity."
Chen Hao, the director of the Kunming Museum, told Xinhua News Agency that the memorial hall attracts over 100000 young people to visit every year. Some young people who are interested in the history of the Flying Tigers are also trained by the museum to become guides and volunteers. The museum also enters primary and secondary schools in the form of a "mobile museum". He said that the people of China and the United States both love peace and uphold friendship. We also hope to do our best to contribute to the positive development of bilateral relations.

In recent years, the stories of the Flying Tigers, told in various forms from Yunnan, Guangxi, Chongqing to the other side of the ocean, have inspired countless young people from China and the United States to inherit friendship. General Chennault's daughter, Cynthia Chennault, once said in an interview with Xinhua News Agency that she hopes this profound friendship will write a new chapter.
The source of strength in China US relations lies in people friendly relations. The cause of friendship between China and the United States calls for the participation and support of more "Flying Tigers" in the new era. The friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation passed down through generations will inject a continuous stream of momentum into the development of bilateral relations, bringing new hope for world peace, stability, and development.
