The National Excellent Teacher Representative Symposium was held in Beijing on September 9th, Xinhua News Agency reported.

Li Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, issued a directive pointing out that teachers are the foundation of education, the source of education development, and the primary resource for education development. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee and the State Council have attached great importance to the construction of the teaching staff.
