But the reporter found that some fire protection facilities lack maintenance. At the entrance of the plastic recycling enterprise area not far from the park, eight or nine fire extinguishers are lying on the ground in all directions, with rusty and indistinguishable labels on the bottle bodies. Only one fire extinguisher can be seen with a maintenance date of July 2020. At the same time, with so many combustibles piled up in such a large park, there is a question as to whether these fire-fighting facilities are sufficient.

At the scene, a park staff member said that the park has banned people from living in the recycling operation area, but a boss emphasized the necessity of residents on the grounds that things on site always need to be guarded.

Safety hazards must be thoroughly investigated and rectified

Experts introduce that the property park is an open-air open space, and the stacking of items usually requires sorting and stacking. Different flammable and combustible materials should be kept at a certain distance. The distance between stacked items and buildings should also be maintained. At the same time, sufficient fire-fighting facilities should also be equipped; Regarding the placement of container sheds for residents in the recycling operation area, fire experts believe that although it cannot be defined as a "three in one place" based on this, attention should be paid to whether the use of fire and electricity is standardized, otherwise there will be great safety hazards. In addition, there are also gas cutting operations in the logistics park. Experts say that the operation area needs to be equipped with fire extinguishers, the surrounding combustible materials need to be cleaned, separate gas cylinder rooms need to be set up, gas cylinders and oxygen cylinders need to be stored separately and not exposed to scorching sun. At the same time, enterprises also need to equip safety personnel, have a hot work certificate, and employees also need a welding certificate, etc.
Compared to the above fire safety requirements, there are many areas that can be improved in the logistics park at 2758 Bao'an Road. In addition, there are safety requirements for outdoor storage piles. But the reporter noticed that there are no measures to prevent collapse, sliding, and tilting around the "waste mountains" piled up in the park.
In response to continuous complaints from citizens, the Jiading District Fire Rescue Brigade conducted an on-site inspection of No. 2758 Bao'an Road in mid July. The fire department also found in the inspection that there was a phenomenon of setting up staff dormitories in foam sandwich color steel plate buildings at No. 2758 Bao'an Highway, and has ordered rectification.
