As the first newly built municipal railway in Shanghai, the early opening section of the airport connection line is planned to be opened to traffic within this year. During this Spring Festival, multiple builders are racing against time on the construction site to ensure that each project node is completed as scheduled.
Xue Yakun is 26 years old and comes from Henan. In September last year, he came to Shanghai with the engineering team and was engaged in brackets, flat iron installation, cable laying and other work under the airport contact line communication and signal system integration standard responsible for China Railway Signal Company.
Since the age of 20, Xue Yakun and his engineering team have been to Yunnan, Suzhou, Hangzhou and other places, and they have been involved in subway construction projects in many places. During this Spring Festival, Xue Yakun and his colleagues only had two days off on New Year's Eve and the first day of the Lunar New Year. Starting from the second day of the Lunar New Year, they entered the construction site to carry out construction operations. Xue Yakun was assigned to the night shift. He entered the air shaft at 7 p.m. and worked in pairs with his colleagues. They relied on the lights on one side of the area and the headlights on their hats to transport nearly 6 meters of flat iron on their shoulders. "The main function of the flat iron is to eliminate induced electricity and prevent interference with communication signals." Returning to the dormitory, Xue Yakun and his colleagues quickly fell asleep after working all night. Three kilometers away, at the "Three Centers" of the municipal railway located at the intersection of Tianshan West Road and Shenkun Road, two hours later, many people also entered the busy Spring Festival overtime period.
As the "core hub" of Shanghai's entire urban railway network, the "Three Centers" project is like the human brain, including functions such as a dispatch center, an operations center, and a skills training base. It is responsible for coordinating and processing everything from stations, wind shafts, parking lots, It collects various types of information from depots and trains and issues corresponding instructions to coordinate the orderly operation of various municipal railways such as airport contact lines.
At the project site, the "Three Centers" building has been basically completed. In the weak current networked computer room covering more than 500 square meters on the second floor, more than 20 technicians are devoting themselves to debugging the equipment.

Dan Vo's hometown is in Jiangxi, and she originally promised her family to visit her hometown during the Spring Festival. Zhang Yuanjie, equipment engineer of China Railway Shanghai Institute, said that in view of the fact that the three-center project has many professional engineering projects for the electromechanical system and is highly professional and technical. The integrated pipeline construction among the various disciplines is complex and the construction organization is difficult. As the focus of the entire project, the timely insertion and mutual coordination of each construction process of electromechanical installation is an important link to ensure the progress of project construction and control the quality of the project. “This will have a great impact on the subsequent post-station equipment debugging work, and even on the realization and performance of the project’s scheduling and operational functions,” he said.
Currently, the construction of the communication information system integration and signaling system from Hongqiao Station to Pudong Airport Station of the airport link line is in full swing. The main structure of the line has been basically completed. The overall track bed construction and long track laying of the track project from Hongqiao Station to Pudong Airport Station are currently underway. Station decoration, installation of electromechanical equipment and ancillary entrance and exit structures are also being promoted simultaneously.
According to the plan, in the first quarter of this year, the track laying of the airport contact line will be completed, single system debugging will be completed in the second quarter, and joint debugging and testing will be completed in the third quarter. The early opening section during the year has met the initial operating conditions.
