Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with South Korean Governor Kim Tae chin and his delegation today.
Gong Zheng said that Shanghai attaches great importance to friendly exchanges with Zhongqing South Road. In 2008, the two places established friendly exchange relations and carried out practical cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, culture, tourism, and new energy.We will further expand openness and strengthen international cooperation with a more positive attitude. The economic and trade cooperation between Shanghai and Zhongqing South Road is vast, and we warmly welcome Zhongqing South Road enterprises to appear at the CIIE. We will continue to deepen bilateral investment cooperation between the two cities, focusing on digital economy, new energy and other fields, and support and encourage excellent enterprises to invest and develop in each other, achieving common development. At the same time, we hope that the people of the two regions can promote friendly exchanges and mutual understanding through cultural exchange and tourism.
Jin Taiqin said that this year marks the 15th year of friendly relations between Zhongqing South Road and Shanghai. The two regions have been closely cooperating, and this time they will deepen cooperation in the hydrogen energy industry, cultural tourism, and other fields, which is highly anticipated. Zhongqing South Road will dispatch an economic and trade delegation to participate in this year's CIIE, looking forward to strengthening cooperation and exchanges in areas such as digital economy, future industries, and carbon neutrality. I believe that friendly exchanges between the two countries will make positive contributions to the development of South Korea China relations.
