In 2016, Wang Jinyue gave up his high salary to start a business and formed a team of 100 people from scratch, focusing on the research and development of AI intelligent agricultural robots. Over the past seven years, Wang Jinyue has basically achieved his initial ideal.

During the just concluded three days of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Wang Jinyue was extremely busy. The dessert robot enterprise he founded exhibited four agricultural robots, including fully automatic rice transplanters, that can operate automatically through remote control, on site, attracting domestic and foreign attendees to watch. There was already an intention to cooperate on site.

Wang Jinyue happily said, "The bull we boasted about to our friends last year has been achieved this year..." The product sales have increased from dozens of units last year to thousands this year.

At the Shanghai International Fair, the "Diantian" AI fully automatic live streaming robot "walked" into the exhibition.

Wang Jinyue was quite excited and said that although Shanghai has a low proportion of agriculture, it is a gateway city with super strong connectivity, which brings infinite opportunities for the development of Diantian. Home has land, and their farmland is the testing ground for agricultural robots. The fields of other families are full of crops, while Wang Jinyue's fields are waiting for long grass.

In 2016, Wang Jinyue, a 26 year old Internet enterprise "white-collar", went back to the village to visit the elders during the work holiday and helped to do some farm work rights as a campaign. However, his parents persuaded him to "do nothing". Wang Jinyue, who weighed 18 or 200 kg, said, "How can we do nothing", but less than an hour later, his hands were blistered. His parents' words, "Who will do it when we die!?" made his heart ache.

Three farmers are 200 years old, and four farmers are 300 years old. Who will farm the land? Young people should no longer use traditional sickles and hoes, so Wang Jinyue had his initial idea: three people working together, no matter how bad it is, there is still land at home, and a machine is needed to prove it! In 2017, he resigned and started his own business, with a debt of 10 million that year.

When he hung up the sign that read "Sweet Robot Smart Farm", the villagers passed by and said he was foolish, which actually made him firm, "What if it happens!"

The company is named "Diantian", which means to make agricultural production "a bit sweet", and it is also the most natural sweetness, a sweetness in the smile of farmers.

The direction has been established, but robot manufacturing is a systems engineering process that is far more challenging than expected. Looking for people, funding, markets, and building a supply chain, Wang Jinyue quickly spent all her savings from drawings to physical products, and even sold her house in the city. This tall and imposing man has also collapsed and cried due to difficulties such as not being able to break through technical levels and not being able to obtain experimental fields.

Fortunately, the direction is correct, from the pesticide spraying robot to the transplanting robot and then to the harvesting robot, we have successively developed more than 60 agricultural robots, covering various stages from sowing to harvesting.

On Wang Jinyue's own farm, his parents were the first to achieve "farming with air conditioning". A motorhome shuttles through the fields, and Old Wang, sitting inside the motorhome, controls the robot to work in the field through an app, drinking tea and watching TV shows without missing a chance.

The development of sweet agricultural robots has gone through a path of evolution from simplicity to precision.

Wang Jinyue's company has now entered a stage of steady development, with a farm testing in Jinshan and a research and development center in Huacao, Minhang. The north and south complement each other, combining culture and martial arts, and new products are constantly being introduced.

Leveraging the rapid advancement of China's technological level, Wang Jinyue's team relies on infrastructure such as the BeiDou navigation system, 5G signals, as well as technologies such as LiDAR and gyroscopes to make sweet agricultural robots more agile and efficient in their operations.

Designing a research and development laboratory, from circuit board design to motor drive, hardware engineer Tan Bo admits that the challenges are quite significant.
