The Badaling Great Wall Station is located 102 meters below the Great Wall, and for the first time, the station adopts a single lift long escalator and a diagonal elevator. The above ground station building is built along the mountain, while the underground station building is partially hidden in the New Badaling Tunnel at the foot of the mountain. The height difference from the ground level to the platform level is 62 meters, and passengers need to transfer to three escalators to reach the platform.
There are two ultra long escalators in and out of the station, each with a lifting height exceeding 40 meters. Compared to the entrance escalator, the longest one at the station is the exit escalator, which is 84 meters long and 42 meters high, equivalent to 14 floors. It takes about 3 minutes to take the escalator for the entire journey.
On both sides of the escalator, there is an emergency button every few meters on the handrails, ensuring that passengers can press and stop the elevator immediately in any situation; Emergency duty personnel are also arranged at the upper and lower parts of the escalator, opening and closing the station, and maintaining it on time and regularly.
