The value of manuscripts is not limited to "sky high prices". Lu Xun's "New Compilation of Stories" manuscript is published through a combination of photocopying and photocopying
Manuscripts, including manuscripts, poems, diaries, letters, reading notes, and records of writing materials, have important value in academic exploration, literary research, and other fields. In recent years, celebrity manuscripts have been favored in filming and have attracted social attention, with Lu Xun's manuscript being one of the most notable. The academic community believes that the "sky high price" of manuscripts certainly indicates their scarcity in society, and the inherent historical significance and academic value of manuscripts are more worthy of public recognition. The seminar on Lu Xun's Manuscripts and Modern Writers' Manuscripts, held on September 11th at the Lu Xun Memorial Hall in Shanghai, is aimed at further popularizing the value of Lu Xun's manuscripts and manuscript research to the public.

In Lu Xun's collection of three novels, "Newly Compiled Stories" is an innovative attempt different from "Scream" and "Wandering". It re narrates Chinese history and mythological stories through a blend of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign cultures, reflecting observations and critiques of the social reality of that time. Meanwhile, in Lu Xun's collection of novels, only "Newly Compiled Stories" left a complete manuscript.

Most of the content in "Newly Compiled Stories" was created by Lu Xun in Shanghai. In September 1935, Lu Xun agreed to Ba Jin's invitation, and in January of the following year, "New Stories" was published by the Cultural Life Publishing House. The manuscript of this book was properly preserved by Huang Yuan and officially donated to the Lu Xun Memorial Museum in Shanghai in 1963. It includes manuscripts of "Preface", "Catalogue", "Mending the Sky", "Li Shui", "Picking Wei", "Leaving the Pass", "Non Attack", "Rise and Death", as well as lead printed manuscripts of "Running to the Moon" and "Casting Sword". The Shanghai Lu Xun Memorial Museum has combined this precious manuscript with the manuscript "Flying to the Moon" collected by the National Library and the manuscript "Eyebrow Ruler" collected by the Lu Xun Museum in Beijing. It has been recently photocopied and published by the National Library Press.

Among them, Hu Yepin's manuscript "Hometown" tells the various scenes that young revolutionary workers from big family backgrounds see when they return to impoverished rural areas. This has many similar elements with his other manuscript "In X Town", which is a multiple revision of the same novel. This manuscript has never been published publicly, and is of great significance for examining the changes in Hu Yepin's literary creative ideas. Qu Qiubai's letter to Lu Xun was written on October 6, 1932, discussing the organization of Chinese society and literary history, with a length of about 5000 words. This letter was donated by Xu Guangping and named by Feng Xuefeng. It was an important material for Qu and Lu to exchange academic ideas in the 1980s and 1990s, and has been photocopied multiple times.
