One of the curators, Yang Zhijian, a performer of the Central Ethnic Orchestra and a representative inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of ancient qin carving techniques in Shanghai, has also released a new book titled "Traditional Chinese Guqin Making Art".

The exhibition integrates famous qin, physical objects, literature, books, audio-visual and interactive elements, with the art of making guqin as the center. It showcases the humanistic beauty of guqin from multiple perspectives such as "qin", "style", "zhuo", "spectrum", and "melody".

The exhibition site is like a small garden, as well as a huge literati study. Pine and cypress bonsai create aesthetic connotations, and a guqin at the entrance can be gently touched by readers. Designer Li Cen introduced that the core idea of the exhibition is to "recreate the West Garden Collection", using a large number of fabrics with a sense of perspective and temperature. The main colors are the red of the Forbidden City and the yellow and white of ancient paintings. "I hope this is not only a scene for spreading knowledge, but also a living atmosphere, allowing visitors to be willing to stroll or sit on the ground, and slow down to appreciate the art of the Guqin."

Five replica versions of precious ancient qin are showcased in the exhibition area, including three famous qin from the Forbidden City - the Tang Dynasty "Jiuxiao Huanpei" qin, the Song Dynasty "Qinglai" qin, and the Ming Dynasty "Emei Song" qin. Visitors can not only appreciate the charm of ancient famous qin up close, but also appreciate the meaning of qin inscriptions.
