MG, which is about to celebrate its centenary, has recently arrived at the birthplace of its brand. The SAIC MG Global Dealer Conference was held overseas for the first time. The SAIC Forward Design Center building, located in the heart of London, is adjacent to the historic Hyde Park and surrounded by renowned universities such as the Royal Academy of Arts, Imperial College London, and the London Business School. The distinctive MG Cyberster convertible electric scooter was born in this beautiful 8-story building. On September 12th, more than 200 dealer partners from six continents around the world gathered here to witness the competitive brilliance of a century long inheritance and innovative evolution. At the conference, Zhang Juehui, Deputy Chief Engineer of SAIC Group, and Zhao Aimin, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Automotive International Trading Co., Ltd., gave detailed introductions to SAIC Smart Electric's innovative technology reserve layout, overseas market products, and business planning. "Full of dry goods" ignited the atmosphere at the scene, and dealer partners enthusiastically asked questions and offered suggestions for the future development of SAIC's overseas business. At the same time, the conference also presented the SAIC MG Annual Excellent Dealer Award. Through this conference, SAIC Group showcased its global ambitions to its dealer partners. The "China's first global car" MG4 EV was awarded the "Best Compact Model" in the 2024 German Annual Fengyun Car Awards, and SAIC's European vehicle manufacturing base has started site selection. In 2024, the global annual sales of MG brand will hit the milestone of one million vehicles, with new energy vehicles accounting for nearly 30%. China's first convertible electric sports car, the MG Cyberster, which is highly sought after by European media, industry professionals, and consumers, will be launched in Europe.
