Linping is ready for the Hangzhou Asian Games
The footsteps of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou are getting closer and closer, and the Linping Sports Center is now fully equipped and ready to depart.
As one of the important host cities for the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Asian Games, Linping District of Hangzhou has undertaken three Asian Games events: karate, football, and volleyball, as well as two Asian Paralympic Games events: sitting volleyball and blind goal kick.
From a high altitude perspective, the Linping Sports Center adopts the design concept of the "Silk Road" in its exterior shaping. Through interactive techniques, the "Silk Road" starts with the flexible curve of the comprehensive training hall, connecting the football group competition field of the Hangzhou Asian Games. At the same time, corridor platforms are built in the sports hall, sports stadium, swimming pool, and comprehensive training hall, connecting the four venues into one and providing convenience for spectators to enter and exit the venues.
The Linping Sports Center Stadium will host the football preliminaries for the Asian Games. After more than two years of renovation, the stadium has become a standard football field. The competition lawn in the center of the stadium is planted with a mixture of artificial and natural grass, which has better durability and sportiness. At the same time, there is a 400 meter circular standard runway and more than 10000 seats are set up in the venue.
The Linping Sports Center Gymnasium will host the men's volleyball and karate competitions during the Asian Games. The international standard wooden floor with a suspended single solid wood keel structure has been laid here, and 4200 brightly colored seats have been set up in the infield, of which 900 are movable pull-out seats.
Located in Tangqi Town, Linping District, the National Blind Gateball Training Base is equipped with an automatic induction voice prompt broadcast system. The rest room, medical room, competition and other venues are equipped with tactile paving. A rest area is also set up for guide dogs to fully consider the needs of visually impaired athletes. The venue also has complete facilities such as voice broadcasting and accessible lifting platforms, creating an accessible competition venue from multiple angles and all directions.
