Chinese Torchbearer Lin Qi: Contributing "Taipo Power" and "Wenzhou Power" to the Asian Games
On September 15th, the torch relay of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou arrived at the Wenzhou Station. The 113 torchbearers on that day were Lin Qi, a post-90s torchbearer from the Wenzhou Ouhai Branch of China Taiping Property and Casualty Insurance. At 10:30 am, she started the torch relay on the section from Mifang on Oujiang Road to Shangdoumen Park in Lucheng District. As a basketball team member and sports enthusiast from childhood to adulthood, Lin Qi held the torch with agile steps and occasionally waved to the citizens, successfully completing the handover of the baton.
"Although it's only a short 50 meters, it's definitely a shining moment in my life." Lin Qi, who completed the transmission, still couldn't conceal her excitement and joy, and clapped and took a photo with over 100 Taibao employees who supported her on site.
"Tai Bao is my strong support."
Representing Taibao in the torch relay, Lin Qi is very proud and also feels nervous and stressed. On the day of the torch relay, she woke up at 6 o'clock and prepared carefully, even feeling so nervous that she had to listen to music to relax. Especially after gathering with other torchbearers and taking the bus at 7:30 pm, Lin Qi was pleasantly surprised to find many citizens waving at the bus's progress. "At that time, I felt like my heart was about to jump out!"
The Wenzhou Station transmission route has a total length of about 9.2 kilometers, starting from Songtai Square in Lucheng District, passing through Wuma Historical and Cultural District, Hongri Pavilion, Gugang Wharf, Ouyue Bridge and other places along the way, and finally reaching the city balcony. What impressed her the most was the spontaneous arrival of many citizens along the roads, waving flags and cheering for the torchbearers running, and the occasional bursts of cheers from the crowd.
After getting off the car, Lin Qi saw at first glance that colleagues from the Wenzhou branch of China Taiping Property and Casualty Insurance were already waiting on the passing road, cheering and cheering for himself. "I immediately felt a strong backing!" Lin Qi said, and at that moment, his tense mood instantly calmed down, and his confidence grew stronger.
"As a grassroots employee of Taiping Protection, I am truly honored to participate in the international competition torch. I deeply feel the company's importance and recognition of our grassroots employees, and it also motivates me to work harder and contribute the 'Taiping Protection Power' to the Asian Games!" Lin Qi said.
"Escort the Asian Games in Wenzhou"
Lin Qi is currently working in the Wenzhou branch of China Taiping Property and Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd. to promote group customer sales, and serves as the deputy secretary of the branch's Youth League Committee. He has always adhered to the spirit of "sincerity, responsibility, service, and innovation", providing customers with comprehensive insurance services. At the same time, he/she extensively participated in organizing insurance and financial publicity, assisting rural revitalization, and promoting youth volunteer services. He/she was once recognized as an outstanding individual in the national "bank consortium cooperation" by the Central Financial Youth League Working Committee.
In addition to serving as a torchbearer, Lin Qi also had an important role in participating in the Hangzhou Asian Games project team of the Taiping Protection Service, serving the Asian Games special team in Wenzhou, and working with 20 volunteers to provide perimeter security services to ensure the victory of the Asian Games.
It is reported that Wenzhou will host important events such as dragon boat and women's football at the Asian Games. Lin Qi's Wenzhou branch in Taibao has 120 employees of national emergency rescue personnel. As one of them, Lin Qi voluntarily applied to shoulder the heavy burden. Last year, she participated in the insurance service group in Wenzhou and began logistics work one after another. In May of this year, she joined the special group and began complete off-duty services in August. She participated in two emergency drills previously held.
Due to supporting the work of the Asian Games, Lin Qi reduced his companionship with his two children at home. "But my family is very supportive of me, and I feel proud and proud that I can become a torchbearer and participate in the Asian Games!" Although the two children, who are only 3 years old and 1 year old, still don't understand what the Asian Games and torchbearers are, Lin Qi still found a suitable way - to buy torch toys, pass them on to his brother at home, and pass them on to his mother - to make them feel the strong atmosphere of the Asian Games.
"This year is a special and desirable year. With the arrival of the Asian Games, our city has become more colorful. As citizens of Wenzhou, we also need to contribute our efforts, serve the Asian Games well, and showcase our charm to the world. Just like athletes challenging themselves and breaking through limits on the field, we strive to shine and shine in our own field." Lin Qi said.
