China Ping An Helps Financial Network Security Construction, Jointly Creating Legal Civilization and Sharing Network Security

On September 14th, the theme event of "Rule of Law Day" was successfully held in Shanghai during the 2023 National Cybersecurity Propaganda Week, titled "Creating a Rule of Law Civilization and Sharing Cybersecurity". The event is hosted by the Office of the Cybersecurity and Information Technology Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Shanghai Public Security Bureau. It is organized by the Cybersecurity Headquarters of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau and the Cybersecurity Department of the Office of the Cybersecurity and Information Technology Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and co organized by the Shanghai Information Network Security Management Association and Ping An Insurance Co., Ltd. The member companies of Ping An Group, Ping An Life Insurance, Ping An Bank, and Lujinsuo Holdings, also participated in it.

This "Rule of Law Day" event takes various forms such as theme lectures, release of network security themed micro films, and interview salons to deeply promote the concept of network security, popularize network security knowledge to the public, and form a good atmosphere for the whole society to participate in the governance of the network, jointly build a clear network space, and share the achievements of network civilization.

At the event, Wang Jing, Deputy Director of the Cybersecurity Department of the Office of the Cybersecurity and Information Technology Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Lu Ming, Deputy Commander of the Cybersecurity Security Brigade of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, and Chen Yao, General Manager of the Brand Promotion Department of China Ping An Group, delivered speeches. Chen Yao stated that as a technology-based personal financial life service group, Ping An has always attached great importance to customer information security, network security of its own products and businesses, and has continuously improved the overall risk management level of the company through a large amount of basic work in information security, data security, consumer rights protection, and financial fraud prevention. In order to cooperate with this event, the Cybersecurity Brigade of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau and Ping An of China jointly produced three microfilms to recreate anti fraud cases. The film focuses on three main themes: infringement of citizen information, online black and gray industries, and online water army. It presents three real stories: family insurance scams caused by personal information leakage, credit repair scams caused by downloading counterfeit apps, and property losses caused by surrendering insurance due to trusting the online water army, providing risk warnings to the public. At the same time, it also reflects the work of Ping An Bank, Lufax Holdings, and Ping An Life Insurance in risk identification and prevention, effectively safeguarding consumer financial network security.

During the release of the microfilm, Jiang Shengjie and Xiao Huangtuo from the Cybersecurity Brigade of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, Weng Yinyun from the Shanghai People's Procuratorate, and Zhang Yujie from the Ping An Universal Customer Experience Department discussed the themes of the films respectively. They conducted in-depth analysis of the network security scams behind them and provided risk warnings from a professional perspective.

This not only poses a threat to customer property security, but also seriously infringes on the reputation and goodwill of financial institutions. Ping An Puhui has been enhancing its own network security, establishing a "online+offline" linkage education mechanism, safeguarding consumer personal information security, and improving consumer financial literacy.

For many years, under regulatory guidance, China Ping An has always adhered to the concept of "finance for the people" and continuously improved its financial network security prevention capabilities internally through technological advantages; Actively carry out crackdowns on black and gray industries in the financial sector and promote financial network security measures to the outside world.

Since the beginning of this year, a total of 80 cases have been filed and 43 cases are currently being processed. For example, Ping An Life Insurance has taken multiple measures to actively investigate and excavate clues related to illegal activities, establish a clue collection mechanism and platform, and use data analysis and other methods to identify external suspected illegal organizations or individuals, effectively blocking interference from illegal activities. Ping An Puhui has achieved precise control over financial black industries both online and offline through the "1+N" total score linkage model. A special consumer protection group has been established in collaboration with local peers, banks, and other institutions across 20 regions nationwide. At the same time, Ping An has also made breakthroughs in key areas, becoming the first case in the country in which it was sentenced for the crime of extortion in the case of proxy surrender of black property.

Actively promote financial network security through the "Security Guardian Action". Each member company of Ping An takes "Ping An Guardian Action" as a unified brand, relying on the regional joint meeting mechanism. Institutions in the region actively cooperate with authoritative institutions such as local supervision, anti fraud centers, and bank/consumer associations to jointly carry out financial anti fraud and financial network security publicity. In 2022, eleven financial member companies under the group carried out more than 20000 consumer protection publicity activities during the "3.15" publicity week and financial knowledge popularization month, reaching over 700 million consumers, including more than 9600 times targeting key groups and areas such as the "old and young", new citizens, revolutionary old areas, and remote areas. During the upcoming "Financial Consumer Rights Protection Education and Propaganda Month" this year, Ping An Group will continue to actively respond to the call of the State Administration of Financial Supervision and Administration, carry out multiple centralized publicity activities such as entering schools and communities, enhance consumer awareness of financial security, and enhance risk prevention awareness.
