What is low altitude economy?
On September 15th, the Low Altitude Economic Development Conference opened in Wuhu, Anhui.
In 2021, the National Comprehensive Vertical Transportation Network Planning Outline clearly proposed the development of low altitude economy, and Anhui became the third pilot province for comprehensive low altitude airspace management reform in China.
In recent years, the low altitude economic industry in China has developed rapidly, and the number of low altitude aircraft and enterprises has continued to grow. Taking civil unmanned aviation as an example, as of the end of August this year, there are currently 1.101 million registered unmanned aerial vehicles in China, an increase of 15.9% compared to the end of 2021. 182000 unmanned aerial vehicle operator licenses have been issued, and 17000 unmanned aerial aviation operating enterprises have been established.
In the first eight months of this year, the cumulative number of flights without civilian aircraft reached 1.838 million hours, an increase of 689000 hours from the same period last year and a year-on-year increase of 4.27%.
With the support of multiple policies such as airspace policy, economic policy, and industry policy, the prospects for low altitude economy are promising.
This conference is committed to creating a low altitude economic industry exhibition platform, a high-end exchange platform, a scientific research and innovation platform, and an open cooperation platform.
There are several highlights of this conference, one of which is its high level of professionalism. Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the CAE Member will make reports around various fields of low altitude economic development. The conference will hold 8 parallel reporting sessions around themes such as advanced manufacturing and operation of low altitude economy, construction and development of low altitude infrastructure, smart low altitude new technologies, construction of unmanned aerial vehicle industry and low altitude economic industry system, construction and development of urban air traffic system, aviation medical rescue in the Yangtze River Delta, construction and development of aviation emergency response system, unmanned systems and low altitude safety.
