Zakharova: France apologizes!, Russian journalists blocked outside the Macron press conference
According to Russian Sputnik News Agency, on September 10, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zaharova said that Russia asked France to apologize for preventing Russian journalists from attending Makron's press conference in New Delhi.
According to reports, on the 10th, a female journalist from the Russian news agency was blocked outside the press conference of French President Macron at the G20 summit.
Zakharova said, "This policy, full of hypocrisy, arrogance, and personal myths, ultimately harms the implementers. We see what happened as discrimination and extreme nationalism, because the essence of this incident is racial discrimination. We demand that the French government apologize to media reporters."
According to the report, Zakharova emphasized that Russia will not ignore the fact that Western "democracy" has once again shown racial discrimination and violated democratic principles. She said that Paris has obstructed Russian journalists in public and is now exporting practices that disdain the voice of dissenters and the media to countries outside the West.
Zakharova pointed out that "there are currently 11 French journalists in Russia. They are all free to participate in news activities organized by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, no one has obstructed the participation of Agence France Presse reporters in the G20 press conference held by the Russian Foreign Minister today.".
