At around 2:30 pm today, the Hong Kong delegation from China arrived at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport and was warmly welcomed by the local residents.
The head of the Hong Kong delegation, Huo Qigang, introduced at the Hong Kong International Airport today that the entire delegation, consisting of about 940 people, including about 660 athletes, will compete in multiple events such as football, fencing, and table tennis, with the largest scale of competition in history.
Huo Qigang said, "The Asian Games is the largest comprehensive sports event in Asia. This year, we have sent the largest delegation, and the athletes are actively preparing and have outstanding strength. We look forward to them demonstrating the spirit of hard work and striving on the competition field, and creating new achievements."

Hong Kong team opening flag bearer - Yao Jincheng, Mo Wanying
Huo Qigang also introduced two flag bearers from the Hong Kong delegation, namely rugby player Yao Jincheng and martial arts player Mo Wanying.
Yao Jincheng has participated in three Asian Games and helped the team win one gold and two silver medals. He said, "Thank you to the Hong Kong Association and Olympic Committee for giving me the opportunity to serve as a flag bearer, adding more significance to my participation in Hangzhou. This is my last time participating in the Asian Games, so I will do my best to play and strive for a medal."

Mo Wanying won a silver medal in the women's Tai Chi and Tai Chi sword all-around competition at the last Asian Games. She expressed that she hopes to gain more support from the Chinese audience in this competition. She said, "This time at the Asian Games, I am looking forward to hearing the audience cheer and applaud for us during the competition or as a flag bearer."
What events are worth looking forward to for the Hong Kong team?
It is reported that the Hong Kong fencing team will send 12 men and 12 women to compete in individual and team events in epee, sabre, and foil at the Hangzhou Asian Games, striving to achieve a "zero breakthrough" gold medal at the Asian Games.

The Hong Kong swimming team sent out the women's team, who broke the Hong Kong record, to compete again at this Asian Games. At the recent World Championships, Ho Siu pei led the Hong Kong team to compete in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay, and the four of them broke the Hong Kong record together.
The Hong Kong Karate team is led by Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist Liu Mushang, who and Zeng Qiting both won gold medals at the Asian Championships in July. With the support of two Asian champions, the Hong Kong team is striving to win medals in the karate event at the 6th consecutive Asian Games.
