Timely return to its rightful owner, safe storage by bus personnel, and passengers leaving the diamond ring behind
Recently, Ms. Xiang, a citizen, accidentally lost her diamond ring while taking the bus. Fortunately, the careful Shanghai South Line conductor Huang Ping discovered and safeguarded it in time, and it was eventually returned to its original owner.
"You helped me retrieve the ring, and I came specifically to thank you, thank you." On the early morning of September 12th, Ms. Xiang came to Nanhui Bus Company to express her gratitude to Huang Ping, a train attendant on the Shanghai South Line who had returned the lost money. Ms. Xiang said that a few days ago, she took a bus to send her child to class. In order to use hair wax to tidy her child's hairstyle, she took off the ring and placed it on a nearby seat. "When I took off the ring, I was still thinking about whether I might have lost it, and I thought it wouldn't be so easy to forget in a while. Because we only took one stop, we arrived at the station quickly, so we hurriedly got off the car and left the ring on our seats," Xiang recalled.
Until she finished delivering the child, Ms. Xiang suddenly remembered that the diamond ring had been left on the bus, and she was extremely anxious.
In order to retrieve the diamond ring as soon as possible, Ms. Xiang immediately rushed to the Shanghai South Line dispatch room to explain the situation. The on duty dispatcher contacted the operating vehicles during the relevant time period based on Ms. Xiang's boarding and alighting time and station. At the same time, flight attendant Huang Ping also discovered the abandoned diamond ring during the ticketing process and reported it to the work group. "I found this diamond ring in the gap of the seat, and when I picked it up, I found that the diamond on it was very large. I immediately took a photo and reported it to the work group." Huang Ping still remembers the scene when she found the diamond ring.
Upon learning that the diamond ring had been found, Ms. Xiang's heart relaxed and she said, "In less than 20 minutes, the dispatcher showed me a photo and asked if it was my ring that had been lost. When I saw the photo, it was my ring, and my mood at that time was truly indescribable."
Considering the value of the ring, the dispatcher of the Shanghai South Line called the local police station and entrusted the ring to the police for temporary safekeeping. After identity confirmation, Ms. Xiang retrieved the lost diamond ring from the police officers.
